Why does my Walgreens digital blood pressure monitor keep giving an ERR4 message?

Here are the top 3 reasons for getting errors: 1. You're using the wrong-sized cuff. If you are extra large, you need a larger cuff. 2. You've incorrectly positioned your body. Ideally, your arm should be at the level of your heart. 3. You've placed the cuff incorrectly. Make sure the cuff is on your upper arm and the stethescope is placed over the place you feel the strongest pulse. I hope that helps!

My Blood Pressure comes up with E1 - what does this mean?

An E1 error can mean a number of things depending on the brand of your monitor and the way that you are trying to take your blood pressure. The general reason for E1 errors is to announce for whatever reason that the machine could not get a blood pressure reading.

Some common causes:
You did not let all of the air out of the blood pressure cuff before trying to take your blood pressure. Make sure that there is no air in the cuff by squeezing it or rolling it, prior to use to let out excess air.

Your blood pressure cannot be taken at this time. Sometimes this occurs if you are very nervous, overly excited, or have a fast heart rate. You can try sitting down and relaxing prior to taking your blood pressure.

You are using the wrong size cuff. If you are taking blood pressure on a small child, someone with a tiny arm, or someone with a large arm, the blood pressure cuff might not get an accurate reading. Many blood pressure monitor manufacturer's offer blood pressure cuffs ranging in size from small to extra large, and you should use the cuff that is most appropriate for the size of your arm.

You didn't line up the blood pressure cuff correctly on your arm. You can't just slap the cuff on your arm and expect it to work, it has to be lined up properly. Many companies put an arrow on the cuff to give you an idea with positioning.

You need to try a different spot on your arm. Occasionally some people cannot give a blood pressure reading on their upper arm for a variety of reasons, and you should try getting a reading on your lower arm.

If you are still having trouble with your blood pressure cuff, take your monitor with you to your next doctors appointment so that your doctor can show you how to use the monitor correctly.

What does error 3 on my microlife blood pressure monitor

Repeat measurement keeping arm still. If inflation of the cuff takes too long, the cuff is not correctly seated or the hose connection's not tight. Check connections and repeat

My blood pressure machine keeps giving me an error 3 it is a cvs brand

Several of the CVS brand blood pressure monitors are made by MicroLife USA. For those models, the Error 3 indicates that you may have been moving your arm while the unit was obtaining the readings. You need to repeat the measurement while staying still.

The other possible cause of the error are that the cuff didn't inflate in a reasonable length of time. Check that the cuff is properly placed on your arm. Also make sure that the inflation hose is tightly connected to the cuff socket on the unit.

I hope this helps.

I have a blood pressure sphygmomanometer, how do you take a blood pressure reading and what is normal?

Much easier to go to a store, like Walgreens and get an inexpensive ( like 15 dollars) automatic wrist cuff blood pressure monitor, that will give you accurate and quick readings of your heart rate, and blood pressure, systolic and diastolic, automatically.

If the density of the blood pressure of the person is 1050 kg/m and the maximum blood pressurein the upper arm is about 120 mmHg.if tube open to the atmosphere is connected to the vein in the arm of the...

120mmHg is equal to 16000 Pa this is the pressure of the blood at the bottom of the tube, at the vein.

P is [pressure of the blood]
d is [density of the blood]
g is [gravitational acceleration]
h is [height] ,the distance between the surface of the fluid and the test level where we want to get the pressure (in our case the height of the blood in the tube)

Since pressure in a fluid is P=d*g*h

The atmospheric pressure may now be neglected, since it affects the blood in the tube as well as the blood in the body.

P=16000 Pa
d=1050kg/m^3
g=9,8 m/s^2

we want the height so we divide both sides with (d*g) so we get
P/(d*g)=h we write in the numerical values

16000/(1050*9,8)=1,5549 meters

So the blood may go as high as 1,5549 meters in the tube.

Hope it helps you. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

High reading on everyone using aDinamap GE Pro Care 300

Sometimes if the person starts moving his arm around or bending the arm in which the blood pressure is being taken, the high error will come on. The only solution that I know of is to hae a qualified person evaluate it.
