Not quite understanding. So the short cycling goes away after it runs for awhile??? If that's the case I'm assuming you have some loose wiring. Turn power off and check ALL electrical connections. The contactor would not be right on the board so I'm a bit confused. Good Luck!!

Electric Nordyne Furnace/AC/with heat pump makes buzzing noise when turned on, registers do put out heat. Any ideas what is causing the buzzing noise?

is it only in heat? Possibly the heater contactor but I don't believe nordyne uses a contactor. could possibly be the transformer humming? many different strange noises come from units, may want to have it serviced.

Nordyne T3BA-036K trips breaker on outdoor unit immediately will not stay set

Hello, sounds like a short to ground. Check all the wiring to make sure it is not touching any metal. If the wiring appears ok then the compressor windings are shorted to ground and the compressor will need to be replaced.

Nordyne Split System Blower Won't Start

It's the fan motor. A relay problem would cause the motor not to run at all.

I had a storm the other day, and now everything works, but the compressor keeps trying to start but doesn't come on. I have 115v to the start, & run terminal at the compressor. any suggestions?...

this could wellbe a capisitor problem .. be certain that if you chose to change it out that you disconnect the posewr to this unit and then using a screw driver touch the terminals across the cap to short them out ,, they can packa heck of a punch . If you have a meter you can test them I remomend you do a search oc testing a capistior on line as it a but cumbersome doing it here..

No heat fan running

This is a 10 Seer electric heat package unit. There are few possibilities. Does the blower come on when you put the t-stat on Fan on? If it does, then it is probably the blower time delay relay which is nordyne part# 622181. If the blower doesn't come on at all, check that the blower is getting power and if it is, then the blower motor is bad but could possibly be the capacitor as well. Both should be checked.

The hum is power line hum ( 60 cycle ) . It may be that when the amp gets warm that something in the case wants to vibrate to the 60 cycle hum.

I have amps that hum like that and theyre fine.

Depending on the design of the amp, the cooling fan may not go on till it gets really warm in the amp. Some run all the time like the Ashly I just fixed

Nordyne electric heater

If you have 24 + volts between common and w or w2 when your thermostat is calling for heat, you might have a or a couple of defective heat relays or sequencers.
