The motor should have a dip stick on it and it will be marked with a oil level mark just fill to the mark you will be fine but do not overfill

Approximately 40 ounces. Put in a full quart first, then add about 1/4 of the second quart and start checking the dipstick until you are at the full mark. Each time you add more, let it run down into the engine for a minute or so before checking or you will get a false reading. If your engine has an oil filter and you changed it, figure about 2 extra ounces for the filter

The pony tiller with a Briggs and Stratton engine only uses gas do NOT mix oil with the gas.
