SOURCE: Hoover wind tunnel vacuum cleaner shuts off during use

Check the inlet down by the brush roll to make sure it isn't clogged. If not and the hose isn't clogged, then probably the thermo protector (part #28382093) maybe bad. It is mounted near the motor. Could be motor Part #43576188. But I would suspect a clog in the inlet or hose, or the thermo protector has gone bad.

The tank sits on what is called the reservior asm. it is actuated by the control rod inside the handle. With the tank off, watch and see if you can see that rod hitting the reservior asm when you squeeze the trigger. If it is moving up and down on it, then the resorvior asm may be bad. Also check the valve at the bottom of the tank, manually push it in and see if it releases water.

The clean water is leaking straight out through the bottom of the machine. This just started out of the blue. I cannot use the machine because of this. Any ideas?

It sounds as if the reservoir is stuck open. If you look behind the upper tank, you will see a rod that opens the reservoir when the handle release is squeezed. This part may need replacement.

My Hoover Floormate series H3032 won't suction wet or dry. I have thoroughly checked the hose for clogs or cracks and there's no problem there. I notice the float never closes but just hangs down...

Check again that the pipes aren't clogged. Check all the way through from where the muck goes in to where it's supposed to end up, paying particular attention to places where the pipe narrows, goes round a bend, or changes material.

Check the machine doesn't just need emptying.

Wet/dry machines usually have some sort of float operated stop valve to stop you flooding the motor when you've filled it with water. Make sure this isn't stuck shut.

Check everything from the impellor right back to where the muck goes in is airtight. It doesn't take a huge hole to lose you a lot of suction. Pay particular attention to places that are meant to come apart routinely, and places where hoses join to hard fittings. If in doubt, run the machine and listen for sucking noises.

If there's a filter between the fan and the air outlet (there usually is) make sure it is clean

Assuming the motor is running, check it is turning the fan impeller.

Hopefully, one or other of these will get you somewhere

Hoover floor mate/ wet/dry I added the water and turned on and no water is coming out? What did I do wrong, I dont have a manuel

I have had the same problem. I took the darn thing apart to see if the hose was loose. Come to find out that when you fold the handle there is an extension that sticks out. This extension pushes down on a plunger that allows the water to squirt out. My extension has broken off some how. I believe this to be a manufacturer defect.

The tank sits on what is called a reservior asm, that may have gone bad. Does the water flow out of the tank when you push in the valve at the bottom?
