check wires at glow plug are live when you switch on the ignition.Sounds like you have a glow plug relay faulty switching of to quick.

It Sounds like to me that there is something with in the Optical block causing the problem.
I would recommend a professional to look at it and confirm this.

If the bulb is new,check the following:cooling fan-once the lamp turns on it will start heating up and the thermostat sensor will (for safety reasons) shut off the system.If the fans runs fine,humm this will eventually lead you inside the unit...it will be the color wheel-you need to replace it.Often they are the problematic part of DLP aside from the lamp.But this happens too if the bulb needs replacing.
