Hi, You need to absorb the water in the overflow basen of the Asko dishwasher's and then push and hold a button to reset the error code...flashing LED's or turn the power off momentarily. You need to remove the lower kick plate and get to the basin with a wet-dry vacuum or sponge etc. Good luck. Let me know if I can assist you further. I would check the voltages around the heater before replacing it. Sometimes the thermal overload relay opens out and shuts off the power. Could be a more simpler to replace than the whole heater.
