SOURCE: Hi My kitchen has just been fitted with a howdens lamona LAM8301 dishwasher it is all connected and the water is on to the pipe but there seems to be no water coming through when put on a cycle?

This is either an installation error or a bad unit. The way to test is shut off the water, disconnect the hose from the dishwasher and then put the hose in a bucket and turn the water on to test the supply, if you get water then the issue is in the unit and it could be a bad valve a bad electrical connection on the valve, an obstruction in or after the valve. etc. If this was installed by a company, call them back and tell them it is not working. If this is a do it yourself job, you can contact the warranty department and have them send someone out to check the unit.

Howdens dishwasher hja8362

The water in the machine is normal there is nearly always 1/2 a lit to a lit of water when a load is finished. Also if you dishwasher is out of warranty there Re a few things you can do one go buy a $20 voltmeter and unscrew the face plate and see if anything is lose mine hade a wire come lose and made the hole thing misbehave.

Lamona (Howdens) dishwasher. Start/Cancel/Pause button is not working.

Probably a bit late for the original poster, but I found this page after searching with the same problem. You can actually fix this yourself. I had exactly the same problem - if you take the front off the dishwasher, the switch module is inside a grey plastic moulding. If you remove the two cable plugs and remove the two screws holding the moulding in you can then take it out. Carefully open it by pulling back the clips, and inside is a small circuit board that slides out. On one side are the two microswitches. I got mine working again with some switch cleaner. If that doesn't work, you should be able to get a new switch soldered on by any electrical repairer. Obviously, yours may be slightly different as I don't know what model dishwasher you have, but mine is a Howden's/Lamona too, so it's probably very similar. Good luck.

When I start the dishwasher it seems like the motor hums, water comes on but then it stops. When I open the door the control panel is flashing pots and pans and heavy when I had selected normal for the...

Pl refer user manual. In general flashing light may mean : no water flow, salt chamber empty, door not closed etc. It all depends on the error code message designed.assigned by the manufacturer.

Dishwasher wont go into cycle mode and hums

No model and brand name .
the way you mention look like the main motor jammed and making the humming noise click out on overload then the humming noise stop and after a while it will humming again and continue like that until you switch off the machine. If the dishwasher is old I would recommand you buy a new one instead of changing the motor.
God Bless have a nice day Dickson

What does the 2H mean? It seems to be the "standard" but the manual has no definition.

Great question!
2H means 2 hours -- 120 minutes ... the display only has 2 digits so it can not display 120 minutes. When the timer gets done near an hour an one half, it will start to display a countdown somewhere near 90 (minutes)
Yes, the cycles are long on the LG LDFxxxx dishwashers, just like all water and energy conserving dishwashers.
This really is a good dishwasher, recommend you keep the rinse aid dispenser filled up and ALWAYS use a brand name powder (like Electrosol or Cascade.) Also make sure when it was installed, it was properly leveled.
Hope this helps!
