Gordon Kwan...

Merely a humble Priest that CORRECTLY thought
that some of the contemporary behavior
of THE CHURCH was a bit ROUND-THE-BEND.

And felt strongly enough to try to
offer helpful guidance... So that THE (my) CHURCH
could improve... (sadly/wrongly... not received well).

Not everyone is/was open to his criticism.

Tripple layer of oppression meaning

The triple layer of oppression refers to how a person develops within a society. Individuals are divided by race, class, and s*x. If a person grows up in poverty with no other means of getting ahead in this world, that person will stay poor. Martin Luther King, Jr. talked about the triple oppression suffered by inner city youth and was trying to change things for the better in the mid to late 1960's.
