You have to disassemble the diff if you want to clean out the old grease, But another way is to put a grease nipple on it. There are two types of grease used in these they are: Bentonite grease & graphite grease.

Darrill, Your machine is the same as a Murray Model 40506X88A however the bad news is that Murray does not have it on line, Their instructions are to "contact Murray" for the manual.
In doing a GOOGLE search, I did notice there were a couple of them on E-Bay, Aus. and a machinery dealer in Aus. that sells them

I have a victa workshop manual covering some of the older models which i would be willing to copy the relevent pagesfor you. or might be able to give you soom tips, what model do you have and can you discribe the carburettor, soom victa's use a very odd carb made of plastic

Go to this website, upper right hand corner and do a parts look up.
Search for your model and that good stuff they ask of you and then
choose mower housing should be there, browse the site it's really cool
and has a lot of info.
I did a sample search for generic riding mower deck and found great diagram of belt routing. Give it a try you will find same results Good Luck! Don't forget the thumbs!
