SOURCE: How to download to flash drive android tadlet

You will need an OTG (on the Go) cable - not all devices can use them, most tablets should though. this connects to your charger port and gives you a USB port that you can plug a flash drive into.
You will then need an app like 'file commander' to copy and paste files to your flash drive

How do I down load photo's from my Samsung 2 phone please

First make sure you have the correct USB drivers for your phone installed on your pc. Go to device manager and see if your phone or mass storage device is listed. If not, download the drivers here, http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads. Make sure debugging on your phone is enabled. Please refer to the following:

  1. To set the Samsung Galaxy S2 to USB Mass Storage (MSC) mode, go into "Settings > Applications > Development" and enable "USB debugging".

  2. Then drag the status bar down and tap on "USB connected".

  3. The "USB connected" screen with the large green Android icon will appear. Tap on "Connect USB storage".

A confirmation dialog box will appear. Tap "OK". The green Android icon will turn orange, indicating that the phone is now in USB Mass Storage mode and should now appear as USB disk drives in "Devices with Removable Storage" and be assigned drive letters.

Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android 4.0)

  1. To set the Samsung Galaxy S2 to USB Mass Storage (MSC) mode, go into "Settings > More... > USB utilities" and tap on "Connect Storage to PC".

  2. Then plug the USB cable into the device and connect to your computer.

  3. The "USB connected" screen with the large green Android icon will appear. Tap on "Connect USB storage".

  4. A confirmation dialog box will appear. Tap "OK". The green Android icon will turn orange, indicating that the phone is now in USB Mass Storage mode and should now appear as USB disk drives in "Devices with Removable Storage" and be assigned drive letters.
Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android 2.3)

Did you contact your internet provider? and if you ae working for a company, did you as your admin?

I need some drivers for i craig tablet usb cord driver

If you plan is to do Android Programming, you just need to download adb, or a rooting kit like RootThat. If you plan to just transfer files to it, BEFORE plugging in the USB connector, go to SETTINGS, scroll down to USB, and turn off "HOST MODE".

Now plug in; the tablet & the computer should recognize each other.

Drivers for newsmy t3 ???

If you're still trying to find a solution for using it on Windows, I created a tutorial that should get you up and running: http://pastebin.com/hTJnJMr3

Note that what was done in the tutorial is what worked for me. While it should theoretically work for most people, it can't be guaranteed it'll work for everyone.

Will ethernet USB cable work with Archos 101 as it has host port ? When I spoke to technical help at Archos they said as Android will require drivers, it would may not support, unless I find the required...

Archos support is correct, if it doesn't use a simple interface like a hard drive or mouse/keyboard, then it won't work on the Archos 101.
Manufacturers aren't releasing Android drivers yet for the most part, so I wouldn't expect an ethernet to USB cable to work any time soon, sorry!

I have a HP DV 5000 ALL OF ME USB PORTS DON'T WORK HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING THEM TO WORK AGAIN?

First off make sure the USB drivers are loaded. You should be able to go to your windows update and microsoft will load a generic driver. If the drivers are loaded but they still dont work you can look in the bios make sure usb is enabled. If you can not find that in the bios set it to factory default. If after this they are non functional then u have fried the host card on the board and they will never work again. Some electronics can cause a dead short to the usb host controller this is what Ive found in my shop most often. Now if this be the case you are not out of luck. You can buy an after market express card slot USB card. This will allow USB function via 2 USB ports in the expantion card slot.

Usb 2.0

Yes, your M2V board is USB 2.0 complaint.
How do know if your PC has USB 2.0?
You can identify whether your PC has Hi-Speed USB or relatively easy. Open control panel, open System. Click the Hardware tab & Click Device Manager.
Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Click the + sign to expand. There should be an "Enhanced" USB host controller present. Windows 98 systems may use a different name, because Hi-Speed USB drivers in this operating systems are not provided directly from Microsoft, (Windows ME, 2000 and XP)
get their drivers through (Windows Update). There should also be two "standard" version USB host controllers present as well. They are embedded in the USB chip which routes the differing
USB speeds accordingly without user intervention. nVidia (shows as "Standard" controller) & not enhanced but are still USB 2.0
You need to enter your bios. How to enter your bios?
When you turn on your Pc press the delete key every 2 or 3 seconds. Your system will load the bios. Use your manual & go to pg. 4-16 section 4.4.2. Make sure you have Enabled USB 1.1 & enable USB 2.0. Enable Legacy USB support & set USB 2.0 Controller Mode to HiSpeed. Bios EHCI Hand-off, set to Enable
Save & Exit your bios. When your system has finished loading run Windows Update. This will update your USB driver to 2.0
How fast is USB 2.0? USB 2.0 has a raw data rate at 480Mbps.

PC can't communicate with GPS unit for initial map load

It will NOT show up under USB controllers. It should appear as "GARMIN Devices" in your device manager. Mine is right under Floppy disk drives. Do other USB devices 'bong' up when connected and 'bong' down when taken off? Of course you have to have your audio on for that. The GPS should 'sound' just like any other USB device when attached or taken off. I find that GARMIN help is of no use. Forums like this have helped me far more.
