Question about Roadmaster Cycling

1 Answer

I have an old Roadmaster bicycle. Trying to find a database of serial numbers so I can find out more info about it and what it's value might be. I know my dad bought it for me sometime in the 1950's

There is no single database of bike serial numbers. Just Google "Roadmaster serial number." Nobody can do any better than that for you. You can also check my tip for info on determining value:

I have a vintage road bike with the serial number 2940058 that is stamped beneath the bottom bracket. I have not had any luck locating the type of bike which my cousin gave to me.

A bike is not "vintage" just because it's old, and ID'ing by serial number, especially one that is all numbers, is not possible without more info. Please see my Tip for more guidance:

Where do I find the serial number on a old la France bicycle made by Huffman mf co and when it was made

Serial numbers are typically under the bottom bracket (where the cranks go through the frame) or on the left rear dropout (where the hub axle is attached to the frame). A Huffman (Huffy) bike is not usually going to be terribly valuable, but the LaFrance model is quite old so may have some collectible value. Value will be dependent mainly on condition and amount of original parts. You will need to do your own research to get more info - just Google Huffman LaFrance and Huffman serial numbers.

I am looking for a name/brand/year of my 3 wheel bicycle name ?strom mark iv serial #284278 or 284279

Nobody is going to be able to ID your bike from a serial number. There is not central database of such info. Google search for mark iv three wheel bike yields nothing relevant. In any case the info you seek is of little use. It would be more helpful if you stated what you are trying to achieve - value of bike, source of repair parts, etc.

Except for some distinctive serial numbers (yours is not one) it's impossible to get any info without knowing at least make and preferably model. See my tip:

I have the serial # of the bike and would like to get some info on it

Not possible to find info by serial number alone if you don't know the make. Even if you do it is hit or miss. For more info see my tip:

I'm trying to find the serial # for my 20 year old Murray bike

Look on outside of left rear dropout (where the wheel slides in) or under the bottom bracket (crank housing). Not very useful or important - your Murray is not collectible at all, parts do not depend on model year, and hard to get any info from serial number on a department store bike. 41c 5420 This is a serial number on bike. I'm trying to find out what kind of bike it is.

If there is no head badge on the front of the bike it's almost impossible to identify a bike by serial number alone, and it's not very important on a repainted bike anyway. Please refer to my tip below for more info.

Vin KE11450. When was it made?

There is no standard database for bikes as there is for cars. However many Schwinn bikes have a date code on the head badge that indicates when the frame was assembled. For more info on serial numbers see: How to determine the year value etc of your bicycle

I HAVE A SCHWINN LOOKING FRAM THAT IS EXTENDED. I WANT TO KNOW WHO MADE IT THE VIN IS "PH10AH3787

Bikes do not have a VIN or any centralized serial number database. Each manufacturer maintains their own serial numbers. It is extremely difficult to ID a frame solely by serial number.
