Whatever answer you get, DO NOT use gasoline RUINED with ETHANOL ... your engine will BURN UP because the alcohol will wash off the oil from the cylinder(s)!

What is the gas/oil ratio for this chainsaw? Is synthetic oil okay to use in it?

Generally 2 stroke engines work on a ratio of 50:1
100ml of 2 stroke oil in 5L of petrol.
Use good quality 2 stroke engine oil for the mixture, Stihl and Husqvarna both have high quality engine oils, designed for more efficient lubrication and emissions quality.

Do you have to mix the gas with oil on a 89 fz600r? And if so what's the ratio?

No, you do not need to mix the gas and oil because it is a 4-stroke engine and has separate compartments for oil and gas. The only time you would need to mix oil and gas is for 2-stroke engines.

How too mix the two stroke oil in to a 2000 model yz250 30 two 1 or wat

32:1 is a safe ratio for the YZ, with good non oxygenated 91 pump gas. I run my YZ at 40:1, but with 110 race gas and synthetic oil. The Yamaha Y2R 2-stroke oil is a great choice, never burnt down a motor yet. Have fun!

What is the 2 stroke oil to fuel mix?

The fuel to oil ratio tells how much fuel and oil to mix for a given 2 stroke engine. It can be different depending on the recommedation from the manufacturer. NOT ALL 2 STROKE ENGINES USE THE SAME RATIO. You have to know the manufacturer recommendation for your engine.

Was just given one of these with no manual.... what is the oil to gas ratio??

Is it a 2 stroke or 4 stroke? if it has a plug on the bottom above the blade to drain oil (look under the deck on the bottom of the engine) it is a 4 stroke and you do not mix gas / oil in this type of engine. It works just like your car, change the oil every 2 months and keep good gas in the tank. If the engine has no oil plug to drain oil it is a 2 stroke and you do need to mix the oil / gas. is should mix at a 1 to 32 ratio. use low ash oil.

Can I place an in line bulb primer on a yamaha 2 stroke watercraft, it will not start when cold withoutv starter fluid. Also it seems to smoke alot when idling.

First - Never use starting fluid on a 2 stroke engine. It could wash the oil off the bearings and cause the engine to seize. Try using WD-40 to start it when it is cold. Another thing to try is getting a spray bottle and put your mix gas in it - then spray that into the carb to get it started.

Most of the primar bulbs are 'universal'. You could pick them up any boat supply house, you can also try NAPA.

Two stroke motors smoke. Here is some things to check -if it is oil injected see if you can adjust the amount of oil, if you have to premix the gas, double check your mixture ratio. I like to run most two stroke engines at 40:1 but use good quality 2 stroke oil.
