I have a samsung 50 plasma tv that will not turn on now. If I unplug it and plug it back in it makes a clicking sound 4 or 5 times then nothing happens.

The tv power supply board have more dead components parts,u just don't have the skills an the know how to trouble shoot find out more dead components parts that all.Try website like Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Could be the PCB, but it is hard to say. I am looking for one that has a good screen since mine got cracked (don't ask LOL) so if you are interested in selling it let me know.
It related with Power Board(50%) or Y-Main(50%).
But, if you use the power bar with surge protacton, need to check
the power bar's lamp when the TV is turning on & off.

It does sound like a power supply problem but that can be misleading because a problem somewhere else in the TV can be "holding down" the power supply. This can usually be determined by using some isolation techniques.
