SOURCE: Tv wont turn on ???

sounds like a power regulator problem, a horizontal drive problem,or the horizontal output is shorted because of a bad flyback transformer. If your not a technician there are no user serviceable parts inside these sets and i would advise you to take the set to a pro and have it diagnosed as you could get seriously killed fooling around inside of a tv set. God Luck

SOURCE: my power light on hitachi lcd is flashing red and

Sadly to the end I can now explain the "problem" of my question by myself ...
Because I'm was not sure if I can handle the "problem" by myself I gave the Screen to a technican at our City with all the Information I found until this point (By the way my suspicion was the defect of something at the power supply unit). Two days later he gave me a call with the information about the error: An error at the power supply unit - spare parts => 50€, Work => 200€).
Unhappily im not yet got at soldering on screens, but for 250€ i would have made a good course for this (and if I can establish i will learn it).

So now again a bit more objectively:
Error / Problem:
TV - Step 1: Power Off
TV - Step 2: Stand-By
TV - Step 3: Power-On
TV - Step 4: Short flashing picture
TV - Step 5: Reverse to Step 1

Solution:
1. Find the defect Fuse/Safe/...
2. Buy the Spare part at eshop2.euras.com
3. Change the parts -> et voilá

Hopefully I could have been a little help for someone.
With kind regards,
NatureOneFreak

SOURCE: onn tv lost channel list after powercut. no remote

although initialy I was able to operate tv with sky remote, after power cut none of the codes in my freesat information pack would reconnect to tv. On the forum page one of the emails posted said they had been given the code 0527, it hadn't worked for them but it worked for me. My sky remote now operates tv. It does have an irritating habit of always switching to scart 2 at first instead of scart 1where I have freesat, I then have to use the the remote to switch to scart 1 before I can proceed any further. I am happy enough though, I was pulling my hair out before I found your Website.

Hello, the remote control of my Sankey tv doesn't turn on the TV when it is off. However if we manually turn on the TV, the remote control seems to work fine, even the power button to turn it off. Any clue...

Your tv sounds fairly normal to me - there is a difference between a tv being switched off and being on standby. It is usual for a tv to need to be switched on manually and from there the remote would be able to switch it between on and standby.
Sometimes the "power" button of the remote only switches the set to standby and selecting a channel would switch it from standby...

TV wont turn on

If I understand you correctly u can occasionally get the tv out of standby using the remote but seldomly if ever using the tv mounted controls . This being the case I would suggest the capacitors on the output stage of your TVs power supply and starting to fail giving you low voltage and keeping the set in standby its a very comin fault on SMPS's

Polaroid TLX-01511C LCD TV REMOTE WONT WORK

Change battery and see. Look for any jammed buttons on the remote and/or on the control panel of TV. If you have removed the plug, when the TV was in standby mode, sometimes the system controller could not have got time to reset. Try using the control panel buttons and see whether the TV responds. If not, switch it off manually, switch off power and remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

My Polytron TV is on standby mode. I used the remote but wont turned off

When you turn that TV "off" with the remote it go's into standby mode, that is the way they made it unfortunatly
To actualy make it not have any power going to it you will have to unplug it or plug it into a power strip and use the switch on the power strip.
They use the standby mode to allow the TV to turn on quickly without making you wait.

TV will not come on via the remote control and remains in standby

Try switching it off at the main switch on the TV. Then switch it back on from the same main switch on the TV. If the TV then comes on & works normally, then check the batteries in your remote control, they may need replacing.

We have a large tube pansonic wide screen tv. it sometimes would stay in standby mode and would not turn on when using the remote or channel switches on the tv.. this is getting worse to the point where...

This fault can be caused by low secondary supply voltages often caused by the value of capacitors becoming low and requiring replacements but you will have to have a technician.
