For your achilles problem if it is foot problem only you can Get good shoe inserts. Also exercise by standing on stairs with your toes on steps and heels in air and do stretching exercises if specifically permitted by your doctor to help with your heel pain. For your weight take two metamucil pills and 8 ounces of water 30 minutes before EVERY meal. My brother did water only and in six months he lost 50 lbs.

Front loading washers do not do well on the new "soft" flooring that is installed in so many homes. We placed a thick commercial style rug with thick rubber backing all the way under ours which was sitting on Pergo and it stopped the problem. This wasn't my idea, it was what the repairman told me AFTER a service call! You should be able to purchase such a rug at a hardware store or a large department store in a small size. The rug just needs to really stick to the floor.

You should probably put it on a board but if that doesn't work, you could try putting something weighing 12 pounds on the board or in your pockets or whatever.

mcdevito75, Most scales have a zero re-set screw or knob close to the weight indicator, if yours does simply re-set to zero with no weight on the scale, it may be a screw or small knob. If nothing than the scale might have to be replaced.
