I would consider the thermostat sounds like the freezer thinks it's warmer than it actually is and keeps running.

take rear bottom rear panel off. you will see heater slightly towards the rhs held by 1 10mm nut in centre. loosen nut and prise out. why do you want to replace it as obviously you haven't tested it?

SOURCE: have a hotpoint tdc30p dryer that will not heat

Check to see if the new parts fitted are o/k,
If they are, then your problem is probably a faulty control unit or possibly bad connection in the wiring.
If the new parts are faulty, then something else is causing them to fail.
Make sure all filters are clean and that all air vents are clear

SOURCE: hotpoint fridge freezer icing up freezer and fridge does not work

Does your model have independent thermostats for the fridge & freezer???

If not, could be that you will need to change the Thermostat.
These are not expensive - around £10 if you buy on the Internet.
Easy to fit yourself...just turn off the power, remove the power plug from the wall, then unscrew the 'stat unit from inside near the top of the fridge (some are attached to the interior light) and remove the screw holding the thermostat tube to the rear wall.
Often the thermostat gets a small hole somewhere in the long tube, which then lets all the gas escape, making the stat useless.
You can see these small holes in the pipe if you use a magnifying eyeglass, like the kind Jewellers use.

Where is the fuse on hotpoint quadrio fridge freezer

Hello Donna;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Refrigerators do not have fuses. They have independent component (Part) failures that act like a fuse.

If you can provide me with a model number and some detail of what the issue is, I would be more than happy to help you.

Hotpoint quadrio fridgefreezer keeps tripping the electrics when I open the fridge door.

I believe that a short circuit creates a defective light bulb inside the refrigerator or some other element in its circuit (door switch, lamp socket, wiring).

Errorcode EE in display. Whats wrong?

E1 - Freezer thermistor open circuit.
E2 - Freezer thermistor short circuit.
E3 - Fridge thermistor open circuit.
E4 - Fridge thermistor short circuit.
E7 - Evaporator thermistor open circuit.
E8 - Evaporator thermistor short circuit.
E9 - Temperature set switch open circuit
EA - No feedback from Baffle
EB - Fridge Baffle motor operating continuously
EE - Defrost time out

This was the only code listing with an EE error code - which is a Hotpoint - so if your's isn't a Hotpoint it is probably incorrect.

If you do have a Hotpoint Refrigerator then either the defrost timer is not functioning correctly or your heater element is malfunctioning.

Freezer cold, fridge warm

Hi, You have a self defrosting problem.
Remove the rear inside freezer panel and check continuity on the defrost element and bi-metal switch. The bi-metal has to be tested cold. If there is continuity on both parts, you will need to change the defrost timer.
The most common part that goes bad is the element. I hope this helps you. Please leet me know if I can assist you further.
