Hi BitNothing,
Welcome to the Forums.
The panel on top of the speaker in this image is attached to the Top Cover. To remove it, you will need to follow page 51-54 of the HMM.
More info:
G500 Disassembly (skip to 3:05 on how to remove Top Cover)
Alternatively, you can also use a can of compressed air to clean the speaker panel but it will not be thorough as removing the Top Cover.

Is the audio cable compatible with a Lenovo Computer?

Well the three contacts are 1-Headphones 2-Audio-IN 3-Line-IN,
If your expecting the sound to be heard on the speakers attached on your monitor then you will have to connect the 3.5mm pin on your monitor(Audio-In) and the other end to the headphones on your desktop.

No sound from internal speakers

Is your sound muted? Is the volume turned down to zero? Is the device driver installed and working? Is the cable connected from the computer to the monitor? What is the make and model of your monitor and the model of your desktop computer? Desktop towers don't usually have internal speakers.

I moved my lenova desktop. When I reconnected it, I could get the desktop to connect with the monitor. It said the cable was disconnected or said power save. But all of the cables are connected?

Check both end if your monitor has a detachable cable. Look for bent pins on VGA (blue) adapter. Make sure monitor is set for correct input, like VGA, DVI, or HDMI. Last is there a chance you video card is not loose and needs to be re-seated? Applies to add-on card only.

How do I connect to an external monitor?

There needs to be a video connector on the motherboard (blue-VGA or White-DVI) or you must have an Add-on Video card installed.

Then there must be a cable to connect from your PC's video connection to the connection on your Monitor. Your Monitor must also have a power connection. Some Monitors also have speakers, which you would connect a speaker plug from the green output connection to your Monitor.

Compaq 7750. Can I attach speakers to this model? I was given it but it came without speakers

Compaq FS 7550 has no built-in speakers. However, the FS7550 monitor comes with a pair of detachable, independently powered JBL Platinum Series speakers, which can be mounted on sides on the monitor.
