SOURCE: pilot light not working in gas heater

That probe that sits in the pilot flame is at fault. Remove and replace. Inexpensive fix. Make sure probe is in the tip of the pilot flame. If it does not stay hot enough, it will shut off the gas.

SOURCE: Burners on our Brivis Buffalo 52 Ducted heater aren't getting gas

test thermosat for proper operation ie-broken wire-power if good jump stat and check if unit goes on if it does than stat internal problem or wiring problem and needs replacement or repair --if stat good check fan safety/high limit sensor if good would need to check and test thermocouple thats the tube that the pilot flame burns on may be enough to keep pilot burning but not enough to open valve for heat demand

SOURCE: My water heater pilot wont

Sounds like it is your thermal coupler. Check for a replacement part at your local hardware store. Good Luck.

SOURCE: brivis buffalo 85 EMS .

Hi redrosebulld,

If the EPRL light still flashes most likely the thermocouple has worn out. The thermocouple is a safety device which stops the gas from flowing. I will recommend to consult an authorized repairman to check the thermocouple and also the injector.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: my brivis has electronic ignitor

I would clean the Flame Sensor with a steel brush or steel wool.....

It is a steel rod with a white porcelain body attached to the pilot assembly with a wire hooked to in and it runs back to the control board .....

What it does is prove that there is a pilot flame before the control opens the main gas valve.....

It will try and do this about three times then lock out then when you cycle power it will try and start again.....

you need a new thermocouple. u can either get one from a plumbing store but the can be a bit fiddley to fit or u can get the proper Brivis one it just pulls out and u put the new one in. then u have to re light the pilot light. make sure u hold it down for at least 45 sec to make sure that it is getting hot enough when u release it it will stay alight then turn gas valve to the on position

I have a Brivis Buffalo 85, pilot light is on main burners will not ignite when turned on? It seems like gas isnt allowed to bar which turns on main burners

Usually a thermocouple or similar device is employed to allow fuel to flow once the unit sees that there is sufficient heat to ignite the fuel. Otherwise it can be a fuel valve that "sees" an unusual flow of gas which sets off the safety.

Brivis buffalo 85 main burner not coming on pilot light is on fan comes on ???

If the pilot is on the thermo couple is ok. Could possibly be a faulty temperature limiting switch, it may be stuck and just needs a spray of WD40 or similar product. Then again I could be completely wrong.

Brivis Upflow/Downflow fan on continuously, no heat

depending on the year of the unit

if its between 1992-1999 it would be caused by the either the pilot not staying alight, or a faulty gas valve not opening,
These models start the fan on a time delay not tempreture so you will only get cold air circulating and when the thermostat is off the fan will stop.
(All models) if the fan is running regardless of the thermostat position an over heat sensor is faulty.
