Ouch. A main, rod, or cam bearing failure will cause these symptoms. Did this happen before or after this work was performed?

SOURCE: My cat chewed the wire

If the damage is minor, you can cut out the chewed-up part of the cord and splice the remaining parts together. You'll note that the cord is two wires running side-by-side. Separate them for a couple of inches. Strip off a half-inch or so of the insulation from the ends. Twist the bare ends together, from the wall part to the plug, and insulate the connection with electrical tape. Repeat for the other wire. Make sure you keep the polarity correct; one of the wires will have a rib on it or will be marked with a color stripe.

If the cat's made a complete hash of the cord or you don't feel comfortable trying to fix it, Radio Shack sells a good assortment of replacement adapters. You want to find a replacement with the same voltage and current rating as the original and the same size plug to fit the phone base. You might also be able to find a replacement online if you search by your phone's brand and model. Another option is to check thrift stores or resale shops like Goodwill in your area. They often have a lot of these adapters (also called "wall-warts") to pick through, and may have a suitable one. I've been able to find several I've needed at the stores here, and they're usually only a dollar or so.

Of course, the absolute last resort is to replace the phone, but that's no fun.

Radio Shack and big-box home improvement stores like Home Depot sell plastic tubing you can put around wires to gather a bunch of loose ones together and protect against further kitty attack. You might want to invest in some (it's cheap!) to avoid future damage. It's also nice for general neatening of computer or stereo hookups.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!

SOURCE: I need the heat control plug for rena ware frying

Rena Ware Electric Skillets use the same control as West Bend WB-1 . The back of the Rena Ware Control does say WB-1. Mine is 1500 watt.
You can find the WB-1 ebay for various prices. A generic heat control will probably work as well if it is the same wattage. I have a Saladmaster control that also works for this skillet.

Once the 'condensate tank' is drained the unit will NOT reset....The tank full light stays in and the Unit continues to run the fan, but will not heat ...for HOURS........Help.....I realy did

When our unit was moved with a full condensate pan, the switch lever became lodged in the "full" position and the unit wouldn't heat. This is how I fixed it.

1. Unpug the unit.
2. Remove 8 screws from the housing.
3. Remove the rear housing, swinging the bottom away from the chassis.
4. Remove the front housing similarly, taking care to release the tabs from the vertical chassis rail, and avoid stressing the wire leads to the control panel.
5. The condernsate float and switch are at the right front at the base of the chassis. Assure that the float is free from obstruction and debris in the condensate pan. Assure that the switdh lever is free to travel to the limits.
6. Re-assemble the unit it reverse order.

I don't know if there is a place to drain the air conditioner unit.

jbuck, Since your unit is a multifunction unit (AC, Heat & Dehumidifier) you don't have to darin any water. It uses an evaporative system, that exhaust the water/moisture thru the exhaust hose to the outside. With that said, there may be a rare occasion, that the condensation pan under the unit, needs to be drained. In which case, you will find the drain hole, covered by a plastic screw off cap, on the left rear of the unit (as you face the rear of the unit), next to the cord keeper. A small plastic bowl or pan that will fit under the drain hole will suffice. As, there shouldn't be that much water to drain.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Rear To Remove:
NOTE: The rear blower motor, the rear heater core, the blower screen, the rear blower resistor (heating/air conditioning system) and the rear power transistor (climate control system), the rear air mix control motor (climate control system) , the rear mode control motor and the rear expansion valve can be replaced without removing the rear heater-A/C unit.
  1. Remove the self-tapping screws and the clamp, and then remove the bolts and the rear evaporator lines with the rear expansion valve. If necessary, remove the rear expansion valve. Use a second wrench to hold the other fitting on the valve so the rear evaporator lines won't twist. My truck smells like anti-freeze and the left side of the windshield fogs up... the defrost only blows hot air on the passenger side. Ive been told by two shops that I have to replace the heater core... I...

You need to replace the front one, that one sit under the dash, your truck has front and rear a/c and heater, the rear heater core is for the rear unit, that heater core is to give you heat for the rear unit, that heater core sit in the rear of your truck inside on the side, that one don't have anything to do with the front one leaking, order the one for the front unit. hope this was very helpful.

We have no heat or even air coming on in our 1996 plymoth neon there is also water leaking from under the passenger side dash board were the heater core is can you help please thanx

these guys are retarded, could be the fuse, could be the relay, could be the fan control unit, could be the resistor, could be the fan motor itself. if the heater core was leaking, you would still have heat, you would just smell coolant, if it was leaking enough to not have heat you would see it on your floorboard.
