Bring the unit out of sleep by pressing any button, wait about 5 seconds and the press AND HOLD start/pause and CANCEL an E followed by numbers should appear in the display. Tell us what those numbers are..

WHY DOES MY FRIGIDAIRE AIR CONDITIONER SLEEP BUTTON KEEPS BEEPING?

I appreciate your post, Tamara Brazile!
I see that your sleep button on your Frigidaire air conditioner continues to beep. Do you see any error codes on your air conditioner? Additionally, could you please provide me with your model number? You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the outside frame of your air conditioner or under the front panel. With that additional information I can further assist you. -Matt

Ac unit keeps tripping the reset button

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# LRA074AT7, which keeps tripping the reset button. I see that it will start up and then trips the reset button after a minute or two. First, be sure the electrical service is adequate for the model you have chosen. This information can be found on the serial plate, which is located on the side of the cabinet and behind the grille. Secondly, be sure the air conditioner is properly grounded. To minimize shock and fire hazards, proper grounding is important. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug for protection against shock hazards. Lastly, your air conditioner must be used in a properly grounded wall receptacle. If the wall receptacle you intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, have a qualified electrician install the proper receptacle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Unit acts like a ghost has taken over the controls. Sleep timer frequently flashes rapidly on and then off many times within a few seconds .... beeping loudly each time. Also, the desired temp eventually...

Sometimes the button boards will get worn or malfunction. Nearby lightning strikes make electronics flaky sometimes. But start with the button board. www.searspartsdirect.com

What is the serial number for fra256st2 frigidaire window air conditioner

Unfortunately, there is no way to know the individual serial number of each Frigidaire AC unit, as they are all different. Even the manufacturer, couldn't tell you the exact serial number from the model number, alone.

Hope this helped answer you question and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Frigidaire ac filter has been changed. The unit has been reset. Unit beeps constantly after being on for a few hrs. If turned on about 930pm about 230 am it begins beeping, temps changes and i have to cut...

Check your drain pan and see if it is filling up with water. If it is clean the drain pan and drain line. Also is there a condensation pump on the unit? If there is see if it is pumping sounds like thats your problem.

The e68 keeps popping up on my time window. Have

You can contact this guy...seems others have had the same problem with some frequency..send him your contact information...model and serial number...he's THE guy to talk to with Frigidaire. Chris Polk

chris.polk@electrolux.com Another tech had this information to share: 6 beeps / E68 - Push button does not function
Cause:
Push button held too long or wedged in the control panel.

Solution:
Press buttons lightly and release.
Disengage button.

Try doing that first if the error code still shows up, then you'll likely need a new control board assembly.

Here's the one for your model:

Stop the beeping please

If youre anything like me, you have a mechanical inclination and the desire is bad enough to fix this problemn yet unable to buy another... The way i fixed this infernal beeping & the sleep light cycling on & off everytime is as follows

Disconnect Power...Pull the filter cover & filter off....Locate the 2 screws that hide behind the filter that hold the front panel on & remove them..You should then just have clips on the sides that you can easily pop it out of...You will find that a cluster of wires housed by a black shield runs to the control panel in the part u just removed..There should be 3 screws to remove in order to open the compartment that houses the control board....Remove the screws holding the control board in and remove control board...On that board you will see there are buttons and one of them will say sleep....YOURE ALMOST ON YOUR WAY TO QUIET NIGHTS AGAIN.....VERY CAREFULLY pop the top of that button housing off ( I used a utility knife ) BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL NOT TO TEAR ENTIRE BUTTON OFF OF THE BOARD....once the button top is off you will see a small circular piece of metal that is pushed down when the button is pressed...KNOCK THAT PIECE OF METAL OUT AND VOILA THE BEEPING WILL NOW STOP BECAUSE IT HAS NOTHING TO HIT THE CONTACTS IN ORDER TO FORM THE CIRCUIT.... I am going on 2nd day now noise free & did not have to buy a new unit since mine cooled just fine
HOPE THIS HELPS....If you need further assistance you can email me at jasondupree1980@yahoo.com
