Question about John Deere Garden

Clutch doesn't engage on my 850 jd

My clutch may be frozen to my flywheel on my 850 JD. Any suggestions?

If you can find the plug coming from the clutch, disconnect it and check the clutch for an open circuit.

Sound like a safety switch has gone bad. Either the clutch or seat switch are bad.

There is a wire that is on the ac compressor, right behind the v belt pulley, mine is unhooked where does it plug into? thank jd


I will guess the compressor clutch

If you see the wire , you see the terminal

If the clutch doesn't engage & you have no air,
that is why

Engine shuts down when releasing clutch pedal or engaging blades.


you have a safty switch not working somewhere i dont know what kind of machine you have but check the wiring under the seat and also under mower where switch is on the clutch pedal. it is definantly a safty switch let me know what you find. thanks jd

Part number for JD 314 front electric clutych


At www.jdpc.deere.com, I found 2 part numbers for the electric clutch.
AM38623 is an OGURA clutch and AM34287 is an Warner clutch.
You will have to decide which one is on your mower.

JD X320 blades stay engaged, always. Narrowed it


Hi you can adjust the gap on these clutches , The recomended gap is 0.10 thou you slide this size feeler guage into the hole on the side of the clutch there is three holes and three adjusting nuts you have to try and get it even .

Clutch adjustment on a John Deere JX 85 push mower


my jx85 when cutting grass with my jx85 the power to the blade dies if i lift it up the power will come back put it back into grass it dies again any ideas please
