How do you remove the center bolt on the pto clutch

The easiest way to remove one is an impact wrench; otherwise, you would block the flywheel of the engine so it won't turn and use a pull bar.
You will need block the flywheel upon installing as you will need to torque the center bolt to about 55 ft lbs and don't forget to burnish in the PTO clutch.

Why wont john deere stx 30 pto wont engage

Most of these mowers have a safety switch between the PTO switch and clutch. A safety switch or relay is most likely the problem. Hope this will help ya.

John deere 997 z trak pto not working, changed pto switch not help

You may have a defective park brake switch or the pto clutch could need to be adjusted.Does the machine **** down when you try to engage the pto?If so also check the seat switch. To adjust the pto clutch you need a 9/16' wrench and tur all three lock nuts on the clutch a half turn at a time a retry the clutch, keep going until it will stay engaged.
