Seems like a system format to me...try inserting a fat32 external disk and back up your ps3 data (through system settings\format back up utility) and format your drive

When i try and play call of duty modern warfare 2 it says " registration of the game trophy information could not be completed. the game will quit." (8002291A)

This could be a problem regarding your game data/save data. You could try deleting the game data and save data of CoD: MW2 on your system. Go to Game Data Utility and Saved Data Utility and delete everything pertaining to Cod: MW2 including any corrupt data. Once that is over, try running the game again.
You should also make sure that your game is updated. If you start up the game and the game is asking for an update, then you should update your game and try running it again.
If you game is not updated, try updating it before doing the game data/save data. If it works, you no longer need to delete the save/game data.

My ps3's data got corrupted and it said i could restore it.i did, but now my online friends list is gone and so is my other data!please help me!

Unfortunately, if you did a full system restore without backing up your data, it's gone. Sorry, man. However, if you sign into your PSN account, you'll still have your trophies. I know it's not much. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

The game keeps freezing.

Assuming you've already cleaned the disc, all you can do is delete the game data. In the crossbar (XMB), go to Game->Game Data Utility. This will delete any patches or game data that have been installed since you first put the disc in. Then PS3 will re-install/re-download the game data. This will not affect Save Games, as those are stored in the Save Data Utility.

My Sony PS3 keeps freezing up

Hi,Turn your PS3 on, and have your TV on the correct input. Go to the "GAME" icon on the XMB, and select "GAME DATA UTILITY".
***NOT SAVED DATA UTILITY****
Find the game that you are having trouble with and press triangle, then select delete. (You are not deleting your game information don't worry, its just the update for the game).Start the game back up like you normally would, and re-download the update that is prompted when starting the game. You are done!

We've bought the new ps3 call of duty modern warfare 2, installed it & plated it once, connected it online, wouldnt work just says updating game, and wont do any thing else, please can any1 help

go to your xmb and go to both memory locations. game data utility and save data utility. If you have any memory from the game on the ps3 you may want to save the save data utlilty to a usb drive first. Then delete the info from both of these locations and then reinstall the game in your ps3. that should fix the problem.

Corupted data on Nintendo DS Lite

is it definitely "any" game? Reason is that a lot of games are now suffering from flat batteries, the symptom of which is what you're saying, corrupt save data.

The only solution is to change the battery if thats the case.
