Question about LG Televison & Video
TV= LG 50ln5600ui; symptoms=sound is good, no back light, image can be seen using flashlight. At start up, back lights flash and then go off. Same at shut down. Voltage reading at power board are within specs(3.4,3.4,0,24,0,12,12,0). Voltage at LED connecter settles at 76 and 76--it starts at 132. When this problem first appeared, the TV was turned off and upon restarting, it worked fine for several days but now its permanent. What is the problem/solution?
LG has been having problems with the panels LEDs going bad. To get to them the panel must be disassembled by removing the screen and defusers, usually 3 of them. Make sure you reassemble exactly as you disassembled. After removing the screen and defusers, you can now power the set on and see which LEDs are not lighting. Gotta have a quick eye. You can usually locate a replacment LED strip on E-bay. This is not an easy repair. I charge $200.00 to do them. Hope this helps. :)
