If you have a standard lock, tap the bump key in the last bit while turning the bump key with a slight pressure and it should unlock as fast as your regular key,if you have
experience with the pressure and speed needed.

Why do my weiser smart key locks turn to the 3 o'clock position?

I looked at the Weiser site and although it describes the method of re-keying the locks it doesn't make it clear whether the key can be removed in the 3 o'clock position without the learning tool being inserted.
If the key can be removed in that position it would seem it would only need the key to be reinserted and the lock turned back, though somehow I doubt it as that would rather defeat the object and mean you wouldn't have to keep changing the locks.

Whatever the cause is, it would seem either one of the staff or one of the residents is having a game with you, perhaps they have seen this youtube video...

2000 Rodeo: No Crank, No Start issue. I have bumped the gear shift and bumped the steering wheel to get car to immediately start. I even switched keys one time and Rodeo started immediately. Repair sh

Many keys today have a microchip in the key itself, and if the chip has malfunctioned the car won't respond normally. Your second key working is proof the trouble is in the key not the car. I think they can be checked in some Autoparts stores.

Why did my pntiac vibe lose power while i was driving the radio turn off the gauges stop working and the engine lost power

The battery may only be 3 1/2 years old, but the factory
batteries seem to fail early in life

Check to see if has at least 12.5 volts across the terminals

I think you lost the battery & then the computer module went down,
as you turned into the driveway

If you only have 12.2 volts, don't try and charge it,replace it

If it does start ,check voltage again with engine running
The alternator has to output over 14 volts to charge a 12 volt
battery.

Try the switch on the brake pedal bracket. When this switch gets bumped out of position by the drivers feet it causes difficulties. Check your under-dash fuse panel. Seen that many are bumped and window control relays are half hanging out of fuse panel.

I have a wiring diagram manual for this car if your mechanic would like it. I belive you may have a failing/loose ignition switch. Not uncommon especially if you have multiple keys or key rings attatched. Every time you hit a bump it jerks the key and beats the switch inside.

Changing ignition key switch

Well,

From what I remember you need to put the missing key in and then press the cylinder release, a small hole by the ignition switch. Without the key, I guess you would need a locksmith to turn the tumbler then press the switch. Lock pick set anyone?
