Question about Head Electrical Supplies
When I switch to propane the generator runs poorly it misfires and backfires until the engine dies. Duromax sent me a new LP regulator. I installed it yesterday with the help of the head mechanic at my local Propane supplier because they service LP generators and other LP equipment. Their delivery trucks also run on propane. The new regulator installed and the same result.

Is the outside air temp cold. These generators will backfire if it is real cold and if the propane pressure is low. It is suppose to be 11 to 12 inches of water colume at the generator fuel input. drygwals

A natural gas generator generally comes with a set up for natural gas only, and can require an inexpensive adapter kit to accommodate the use of propane. You should go for a professional generator check up or call the technician who installed the generator and ask for Generator repairs NJ .
