I have a ronisch upright piano made in Germany serial no 48906 how old is it and would you know a price

cant help with the serial number

if tuned casing and keys and strikers are in good condition
if buying from a commercial piano seller price 5 year guarantee
approx

7000 pounds UK
$6000 AU

The Ronisch piano has long been a favourite among piano teachers due to its fine, clear tone and highly consistent manufactured quality. Anyone looking to get a Ronisch is advised to look for instruments made before the second World War, as the original factory in Dresden, Germany was destroyed by allied planes in the latter stages of the war.
All of the manufacturing equipment was lost.
The factory was re-established in Leipzig after the war, but has never manufactured pianos of the same tonal beauty as did the original.

Carl Ronisch, was one of the foremost pioneers of piano-building in his time. He was first to use a full cast-iron plate in the piano, employing five struts and completely covering the wrest-plank (pin block), which for the first time, allowed a high-tension scale.
This is considered the beginning of the use of full cast-metal plates and is today, standard in the industry.

Ronisch instruments have won gold medals in the world exhibitions in Sydney, Amsterdam, Melbourne, Chicago and Paris.

Chas f. Netzow upright piano Serial number 47686

I should write this out to save me keep typing it. Remove the front of the piano and the lid for the keyboard. Remove the middle C key completely. You may find the manufacture date and its full service history written in pencil on the side of the key.
Netzow Piano Co. Brand Name: Netzow Piano Co. Parent company: Netzow Piano Co. Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Serial Numbers Available: yes First date listed: 1904 Last date listed: 1931 Other brands:

Answer
Hi Robyn:
serial 10305
This was one of the original pianos made by this company in 1904. The serial number is the determining factor in telling a piano's age.

The worth rests on the piano's viability, configuration, and age.

Old uprights are generally worth little, especially if they are not serviceable. The furniture value is secondary.

If your piano is in perfect condition, inside and out, the value would top out around 200.00, USD.

What you have there is a typical upright piano, which more than likely has more furniture value than instrument value.

Age is not good in the piano world and pianos deteriorate year by year whether they are played or not.

Are you using this piece as furniture, or instrument?

What was the year manufactured and value of Ernest Gabler Square Grand Piano, serial #6159?

Here is a good place to look for your piano by make & serial number.
There are times when your piano name or number is not listed. They can help you find the year your piano was manufactured in most cases. Since you have the name & serial they should be able to answer your question. About the value... they can't possible know without seeing the piano.

I have a krakauer bros cabinet piano with serial number 11209. I can't find anything on it. Can you help?

I'd try MFG website, or musical instrument collector site. There is also a "antique" valuation site on line That may be able to help. At the moment I can't remember the name. You should be able to google to find antique pricing or valuations.

Piano value by serial number

If your piano was made for the U.S. and is a grand or upright, this serial number would show that this piano came from the mid 70's 1973-77 and was manufactured in Hamamatsu, Japan. You should be able to google your piano from here to find others similar to it to get a price or call your local piano tuner!

Need to downsize, have a Yamaha Upright Piano, serial # 1250568

Well my friend, not knowing exactly what model this is, makes this a difficult question to answer as the market for upright pianos is really shrinking, but that's not to say it has no value. I can tell you that all pianos need tuning after being moved even down a flight of stairs so don't worry about that detracting from the value. More details would be helpful in answering this question.
