Can not find a hole in the fire wall to rune wire for amp is there a hole in the foor bord of a 1998 buick lesabre

Most often, you will not find a hole that is useful. Best thing to do is drill one where you need it, being careful that you do not drill through any components.(always look behind where you intend to drill) Once you have the hole drilled, make sure you insert a rubber grommet or the sharp edges of the hole will eventually cut through the wire and cause a short circuit.

I have drilled a 1 inch hole in my concrete basement wall. I cannot release the bit from the drill. The chuck won't turn by hand to release the bit.

Good Afternoon, Ladooudep55:

I hope you have got your bit back, but if not, remount the drill chuch onto the bit, and drill in forward without pushing the bit. If it still won't move, You can gently wobble the drill to enlarge the hole and retrieve the bit.

The other method is alternating light hammer taps with compressed air. It will make lots of grit dust.

If the hole around the bit is wet, you may have drilled into an iron pipe, if it smells it was the sewer drain. You will have to decide if you want to replace the pipe section or run an epoxy patch once you have retrieved the bit.

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry LE V6. I wanted to run a power wire to my amplifier in the trunk but can not find a pre-existing hole to run it from the battery through the firewall. I was wondering if there is...

Just follow the fuel pump wiring as it's in the trunk and follow it forward as it comes from the box right next to the battery. Take the carpet out of the trunck and the wires your looking for are right at the base of the rear seat back in the middle of the car you can remove the rear seat bottom to see this wire on the way to the front. route your new wire right along with these and go though the same holes they do.

Hi, i'm trying to put blinds up inside a bay window 1930's house but can not find any fixings and thr rawl plugs just fall out is there anything else i can do? thanks

Try drilling a smaller hole for the rawl plugs. I have never had one that would not hold if the hole is the right size. Also there are butterfly fastener holders that open up behind the wall finish you might try.You drill a hole and push them through and they open up behind the wall. depending on the thickness of the wall you will ave to get a long enough screw to catch the bottom of the insert.

Moen 3836...lost installation manual...what size drill bit for the hand held brkt.

There is no single answer that I can give you because it will vary due to material you are mounting to. If you are going to be mounting on ceramic tile or fiberglass shower wall I would recommend you use the plastic anchors that come with the bracket and mounting screws. Use drill size 3/16 drill holes and insert anchors. Mount bracket and screw in place. If you have hollow wall with nothing but sheetrock to hold the bracket I would get small butterfly anchors from hardware store and drill hole slightly larger than the wings on fastener when they are folded back along side the screws. If you have a wood backer board behind shower wall then drill holes with 1/8 inch bit and use screws long enough to reach through shower wall and sheet rock and mount bracket. Hope this helps you. Thanks P.S. If you have to drill thru ceramic tile you will need a carbide tipped bit.

I would like to put my cook top on an island in the centre of my kitchen how would i vent down thru a crawl space???

Get a downdraft cook top and drill a hole. Then run the piping to the outside wall of the house and drill again and run the piping thru to the outside. They make outside wall vents like dryer vents only bigger to accommodate the bigger vent pipe. Happy crawling. It will look and work great if you get a good stove. Do your research.

Need to know how large a hole to drill into wall for manifold to fit no instructions came with my faucet set

If you can't find any documentation, the manly(easy) way would be to buy a hole saw set, find the part of the faucet that goes through the wall, and select the closet fit possible of hole saw that will fit the part. It's okay if the hole's a little bigger than the pipe because the cover plate will probably cover it up, but please double check before drilling that the hole really will be covered by the coverplate.

Hole in copper water supply pipe

solution#2 is one way to do it however those clamps will leak after awhile. You can cut pipe on center of hole and (A) push pipe up and install a copper coupling which does involve soldiering. Or (B) you can get a brass coupling fitting called (Shark Bite Fittings) which simply slides over pipe and locks and seals on pipes. This is a fairly new product and godsend to plumbers and plumbing repair. Whenever fixing pipes in walls check for any form of leaks thoroughly before covering up wall.

Hole in copper water pipe

Judging by how calm you sound it's likely a drainage or vent pipe and not a supply pipe which would be spraying all over the place the moment your drill pierced it. You'd have little choice but to cut the pipe and solder a coupling in there. If it's just a drainage or vent pipe you can buy an MJ (Mechanical Joint) coupling at Home Depot....these don't require fancy tools or torches to use.. The MJ coupling comes in two parts...a rubber part that joins two pipes and a stainless steel band with a couple of gear clamps....you just tighten the gear clamps and the compression does the rest.
