Hi Makellogs , I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
Is this a 2nd HDD? Has it ever worked? Any new hardware or software? Recent updates? Did you try safe mode?

Hi, you can download a manual here:

My guess is that your have a failure in:
The hardrive because you get a blue screen
its a typical problem when windows not loading normaly
could be a bad sectors on the drive.
The ram
Or the cpu due to maybe over heating

Or the mainboad is simply have a defect.

When i turn on my Ps3, i get a blue sparkly screen, nothing else.

I had a simular problem!
If the problem your having is caused by the same thing mine was then this is how to fix it ...
1. Buy a External case like this one..
2. Remove your ps3 hardrive by taking of the cover on the side and removing the blue screw, then remove the tray from around the hardrive.
3. Place the hardrive in the external case.
4 Plug usb external case into computer, goto my computer then right click ps3 hardrive that will now show up.
5. Right click the drive and click format
6. After formating put the drive back into the ps3 and the ps3 will then come up with a message follow the instructions... and your ps3 will now work again.
(by doing this you will lose all your ps3 saves, music and videos and so on it will be like resetting your ps3 to when you bought it.)

Hope this works!

Boots up ok, downloads internet but crashes after five mins. blue screen appears with error message windows closing down. help

3 possible reasons: You have a virus, your windows installation is corrupted or your hardrive is on its way out.

For the first 2 reasons, do a full recovery.

Last reason, get a new hardrive.

I'm sorry to say if you have already tried to get one off of the manufacturers website then you will not be able to get one that fits into the caddy. It's a propriatary USB-SATA/IDE addapter. Do what I did and take it out of the caddy and install it in the PC.

Black Screen appears and Windows restarts itself when on

if you press F8 do you get the menu items that you can use the up / down arrows to navigate ie to select safe mode etc ?

If so select the option to disable automatic reboot on error and hopefully it will give you a blue screen of death and you should be able to post back with that error as it is or google it and it should tell you the issue.

CPU max temps are set too low in bios ( check those and set them to a reasonable temp )

driver issue ( corrupt graphics card driver )

Or the power supply is not powerful enough to power the motherboard and everything else ( post back with power supply rated wattage ) and what you have hardware wise - have you installed any new hardware recently ?

Looking to replace the motherboard of my NEC Versa S1000

Hi, the only solution I can think of is to go to the website of the manufacturers of the laptop. Look up your model and see what info you can find there, you could also use the "Contact us" page that most manufacturers have. Goodluck mistyman
