SOURCE: I am getting an error code C0500.

Depends on the model of you Konica Minolta. The CO500 is usually related to fusing temp. It's possible that a power spike or a thunder storm that knocked out power to the building would caused this.

SOURCE: error code c0500

C500 is a fuser code, the hot part of the machine, the fuser fuses the toner to the paper, so that the toner does not smear off. But to solve this must have the model number. As each series of machine has a different way to reset machine

SOURCE: My Oce im2520f is giving me an error code: C0500

The C0500 error code is a fuser unit error code. The fusing unit is the part that gets hot and "fuses" the toner onto the paper just before it exits the machine. There is a special reset procedure for this code so as to prevent overheat of the fuser. You will need a service technician to diagnose the problem in the fuser and then reset the code. Most common causes are blown thermal fuse, bad thermister or rarely, a bad heater lamp.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

How to reset error c0500

The error code means that the fuser is not warming up correctly. There is a small black rest botton on the main controler PCB on the back of the copier. You are going to have to take the back cover off, I believe in is four screws. Turn the power off and remove the back cover and find the small black botton, once you have found it, turn the copier back ON and press the botton and see if the error code can be rest. If it dose you are good to go... If not you may have to replace the fuser unit..... I did have a problem that was not solved with the fuser unit.. It turned out to be right side door switch... I would look there as well with the back cover off... Good Luck
