Hi there,
Try going to http://www.support.dell.com click drivers and downloads and then choose the model of your computer there you will see the updated version of the BIOS.
When I went there I saw that A15 is still the version available.
Hope this helps!
While you changed if the battery volltage had dropped down we must consider a problme in the bios section of the motherboard.
Make sure that the battery used is of good quality and not kept on shelf for long period.
Clean the contacts of the battery and try again, if not the mother board must be checked
Update firmware version from the support site. support .dell.com enter your "service tag" to get proper device driver then flash or update latest BIOS software from the support site aswell
#1 Flash the BIOS to the most current version.
#2 Run diagnostics from the F12 menu (Or Power plus FN key) see if the speakers work in the diagnostic. If they work in diags, there is no hardware issue, only a software issue. If you get no sound in diags, try a pair of headphones, if you still get no sound, then it is a hardware problem. If you only get sound in the headphones, then the microswitch that disables the speakers is stuck.
#3 is sound works in diags then you have a problem with the audio driver or speaker configuration (Audio muted etc)
BIOS passwords, if forgotten, mush be reset by calling Dell Technical Support, Verifying that you are an authorized user, then they can assist you in clearing the password
Please have a look at this link and the linked article within it.
