How do I empty the Ativa MD400 once it is full?

I encountered the same problem today. I called the support number and they said to simply pull in a downward motion. After brute force, I budged the container enough to start pulling paper out of it. I emptied three grocery bags of shredding by the time I fully emptied the bin. The problem here is that the machine lets you over-fill the bin, thus making it difficult to remove. So check it more often.
