this camera has an internal clock battery, which must keep the date or any other related information while you changing the batteries, the problem is, since you camera is pretty old, the clock battery is probably long dead, it can be changed, but it will require disassembling and resoldering

These units have a small internal battery, similar to a coin cell used in hearing aids, except that it has solder tabs so it can be mounted to the pcbd. You need the internal battery changed.

Your cmos battery more than likely needs replacing. The cmos battery is a small watch battery that keeps the time and date on your computer, if it runs out and the battery or cable is unplugged then the motherboard has no power and can't keep the clock ticking, so to speak. If it's a PC it's very easy to do. Just open the side of the case, look for the very obvious watch battery inside, pop it out and take it down to your local jewelers or computer store for a replacement.
Laptops, on the other hand, are more hassle, it's replacable but requires more effort to locate and remove, and it's harder to find a replacement.
What type of computer are you using? If it's a laptop please state the make and model.

Yes there is. You need a soldering iron to do the work and the entire machine must be taken apart. GE is expensive so try a service company. If you would like to try it yourself, go to R&D batteries and buy a 3 Volt .255Ah Lithium ion battery. Our company also does the work if you would like some help. firstname.lastname@example.org

It is easier to just answer the question (escapement): Here is the solution:
Citizen will do the software update for free, but you will need to send it in. Call 1-800-321-1023 ext. 4345. I spoke with Claudia. They will send you an e-mail that your respond to with this info: Name, address, phone, e-mail. They will then send you a pre-paid airbill to send in your watch and return it to you when updated. It is free and will take less than 10 days.
