Question about Sewing Machines
Be sure to install a brand new needle.
Remove the top thread.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning.
Verify the thread path is correct.
Set the upper tension to the midway point (this may need to be tweaked for your particular machine).
If the top thread is still breaking, you may need to clean the tension disk. Remove the top thread. RAISE the presser foot, set the top tension to as loose as possible, dip a length of perl cotton in rubbinb alcohol (squeeze out the excess), then gently pull the perl cotton DOWN through the tension disks a couple of times.
The follow the instructions at the beginning to rethread your machine.
If still having problems, you may need to take it for service.
