Two AA batteries are 3 volts (1.5v per battery). A 9 v battery is 9 volts. You are going to burn out your LED lights.

LED TV - replaced power board but still no backlight? LED backlights do not seem to work.

yes the led backlight for whatever reason is not functioning and that is the root cause of your problem. Unfortunately to find a replacement led backlight is tough as the backlight is normally fixed with the lcd panel and has to match the voltage and all that stuff with motherboard. and if that doesn't match you might short the tv itself. this case is as good as getting a replacement lcd panel.

Why is the LED light completely off after the walk test and lockout time?

Yes, it works normally. Things have evolved in the technology of security systems and now it is standard to have any LED turned off on any motion detector (the LED's are now used for walk-testing only), the standard DSC and Honeywell wireless motions also do the same thing.

  • This is a normal function for your motion detector. It's also a great power saving function since most of the current draw on the batteries is when it's transmitting a detection signal so if you're home and moving around it will only transmit every few minutes instead of every second, saving on battery life significantly (up to 5 years on average) but after the 3-minute lockout the passive infrared scans continuously until it transmits another motion signal.
Reason: most burglaries are done by someone who has been there before, if they see the LED then they know the motion will catch them moving in that given spot, then they can "map-out" where it's safe to walk (where the LED doesn't light up) for when they plan to return for a robbery.

You can also make this device "more sensitive" by moving the jumper pin position by the right side battery and having the back mounting plate mounted using the bottom screw presets so it faces slightly downward instead of straight forward.

Helpful tip: Change the batteries every 4 years if you're using Alkaline (dead or not) since the detector was engineered "too energy efficient" and the batteries actually leak and corrode the interior PCB at about the 5-year point on about 15% of the detectors with factory original duracell batteries (from what I've experienced in field service).

How do I properly determine the power supply of a parallel circuit of LED lights? I have 30 LEDS to wire into a large model. I know the individual LEDS each run on a 3 Volt CR2016 watch battery. I

You can go from 2 aaa'a three two D's depending on how long you want the battery's to last or project size. Depending on LED model 98% don't matter on the amps just the voltage. I was using 2 D's so you would have about 24 - 36 hour straight on time.. But if you could afford 4 of them for testing. Run four in line so the voltage will be 12 volts total and hook it up to your car battery and you should/would have a light for 6 months to a year and the LEDS should be just fine.

My firestorm 24 volt double charger the lite is on but it won't charge the battery

It is charging the battery but the battery is not holding the charge probably from a faulty batter in the pack.so the charge is going in and out at the same time. Take the pack to a battery shop that specialises in replacement batteries to have it checked out . Take the charger also for tests.

My lizard lights are all of a sudden not working? The fuse looks fine. These lights are only a a year old.

The controller failed. The assumption here too is that you are nowhere close to 16 of the 7 color modules on one controller.

While LEDs can fail early, they usually fail far earlier than what you have experienced and they would not all fail at once. Unless you were zapped by lightning. It is just the nature of the devices. The LEDs can be tested when unplugged, a 3 volt battery is always safe for testing. They will only light when the battery is correct polarity for the LED, so you do need to try both ways.

It should not have failed so early. You might give them a call and see if it is a chronic problem Their customer service number is 1-866-277-9598

Recently I purchased Toshiba REGZA 47 XL 700 E is LED. Is this TV LED ?

Yes and NO your tv is a LED. To be exact it is a LED Backlight LCD TV. An LED-backlight LCD television is an LCD TV that uses LED backlighting instead of the CCFLs used in traditional LCD televisions. It is not a true LED display but is called "LED TV" by some manufacturers.[1] The use of LED backlighting has a dramatic impact, resulting in a thinner panel, less power consumption and heat dissipation, and a brighter display with better contrast levels. You can go to http://www.regza-asia.com/pdf/LEDTV/XL700/47XL700SPEC.pdf and look at the complete specs for your tv

Ups only puts out 80 volts when power disconnects

These type of UPS's put out a simulated sine wave on battery power. When you test these with a regular voltmeter, it tries to read it as a pure "rounded" sinewave and will nearly always report 80 volts, instead of 120 volts. If you test it with a true RMS voltmeter you'll see that it is 120. Otherwise, these units are getting older and the batteries need to be replaced every 3-4 years. Here's a link to a replacement battery: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cps585avr-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html
