I have an old model Optura 20. Do I need a wizard to download digital videos from the camera to my comuter?

Not sure what you mean by wizard - just load the software provided, then connect the camcorder with the lead originally provided.

I cannot connect my Canon Powershot SD 1400 IS to my computer. When connected via a USB cable, an error message comes up on my comuter monitor saying that the USB has malfunctioned.

You may want to consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Canon ZoomBrowser or any other photo cataloging program.

When i connect my camera to the computer and turn it on, it keeps turning off. so i can't save the pics to my computer

do u have a card that u put in your camera like a sound card. if so then you can put this into your comuter if your computer has a card reader. if not you can purchase one and it hooks up to your computer with usb cable. then you can transfer your photos onto your computer.

My computer doesn't recognize my camera

I discovered that what iMovie says I should do doesn't work. In HELP it says to set the camera to OC CAMERA. At least that's the closest I could come with my Sanyo camera to what it says in iMovie's HELP. Anyhow it doesn't work but if I set the camera to CARD READER instead it worked the way I wanted it to. I'm all set now.

It dosnt charge

Hey there tiffg0m3z,

I have the fe-220. I believe yours has similiar properties. They require a separate charger for the battery. Hooking up to a usb is not going to charge your battery. The LI-40c charger should have come with your camera. If you purchased aftermarket, contact seller to obtain specific charger for your camera.

Good Luck and let me know if I can be of further assistance.
