My dvd does not play in laptop due to digital copyright problem. what can i do to fix this? no dvd wil play

Copy-protected DVDs prohibit people from copying them, which is piracy. Copying a DVD to sell or even to give away is illegal. You can play copy-protected DVDs in a standalone DVD player or in your computer's DVD drive, as long as your computer's software is up to date. These DVDs will play the same as DVDs that are not copy protected

Press the "Eject" button on your DVD player to open the DVD tray. Set the DVD into the tray, and push the "Eject" button to close the tray. Press the "Play" button on your DVD player, and the DVD will play. b> On a DVD Drive on a Computer Press the "Eject" button on your DVD drive to eject the DVD tray. Set the DVD into the DVD drive, and push the tray in to close it. Click the "Start" tab on your computer's home screen to open the "Start" menu. Click on "My Computer" to open it. Click on the DVD drive to open the DVD. Click on "Autoplay" to play the DVD.

We want to know how to copy the recordings from the data card to our laptop. We are on holiday and want to back up all the images before returning home. We do not have the cd that came with the camcorder...

You would need to connect your camcorder to your laptop via a USB cable. Afterwards, the computer should detect another drive (which is your camcorder).

Go to My Computer and the drive for your camcorder should be listed. Once you see the drive for your camcorder, you just need to double click the folder where the pictures and videos are locatedit so that you can copy the pictures or videos that you want to send to your laptop.

Highlight/select the ones that you want to copy, then hit Ctrl+C on your keyboard (this will send a command to your laptop to copy the files that you want to copy). Afterwards, create a Folder on your laptop where you want to transfer the files to. After creating the folder, double click on it, to get inside it, then right click the mouse and select paste (or you can also press Ctrl+V) to transfer the copied files on to the said folder.

Hope this helps!

Can i downlode asony pcg 7m1m driver on my pc and than cope to disk to run on my sony laptop

Hi John,

Sure! First, download your driver to your default or saved download folder. If you need to run on another computer/laptop, or achieve, simply copy or burn to a removeable disc, and use that for your install on any applicable computer.

In most cases you don't need to copy to another disc to use it with the computer you downloaded to. Just save it to a "download" folder (sub-directory), and run the install directly from that point.

I hope this helps. Thanks.

Regards, Bill

I want to send movies that I downloaded on my home computer to my laptop

Assuming that both computers are on the same network and depending on which operating system you have got, copy the movies on your home computer to its sharing folder - then on your laptop copy from its sharing folder to a new laptop folder.

NTLDR missing issue

  1. Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
  2. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.
  3. Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.
  4. Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
  5. You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password.
  6. Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter, which in this case is "e." This letter may be different on your computer.

    copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
    copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\

  7. Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot.

Hi, i am unable to install windows XP in pavilion dv6500 laptop. XP set up is not detecting the hard disk at all can you help me ?

Some copys of windows XP can not detect a SATA hard drive what you need to do is get hold of a later dvd copy of XP only the lastist dvd copys of XP are setup to detect SATA hard drives. It has to be a DVD copy as the CD copys do not detect SATA drives. Find some one with a new computer with SATA drives that has windows XP installed on it and try there copy of XP on your computer. Hopes this helps.

Moving word files to another computer

If both computers have USB ports, use that! Copy the files to a USB memory stick, and then copy them to the other computer. Or, burn a CD of the files, or use an external HD. If either of your computers can see the other over/thru the router, do it that way. Hope that helps!
