Why do I have to update my apps every 3 days?

If you have to update your apps every 3 days, that may be a phone issue.

However, Android's App Store (I'm not sure about Apple) has an auto-update apps feature. It will update your apps as new versions come out.
If this is an annoyance issue, you don't really have to update apps that often - unless you are having problems with their functionality.
Most app updates are bug fixes, changing a problem a few users might have.

You should get an update notice from the App Store when available for your version. Check the App Store and see if it is showing a little number. That's how many updates are waiting.

How to Update Your BIOS

By Patrick Miller, PCWorld

  • Check your BIOS version, without restarting your PC, by using msinfo32.exe (as described in the text).187437-versioncheck_original.jpgThe easiest way to find your BIOS version is to open up the System Information app in Windows--just type msinfo32 into the search bar (for Windows 7/Vista) or the Run box (XP), and clickSystem Summary; your BIOS version should now show up on the right under your processor speed. Record your version number (and the date that appears afterwards, if applicable).

Step 2: Check your PC/motherboard manufacturer\'s Website for BIOS updates.

Most PC manufacturers handle BIOS updates based on your specific line and model, so head over to your manufacturer\'s support page and check its listings for your PC, because if you download and install a BIOS intended for a different model, your PC probably won\'t work (although most BIOS updaters are smart enough to notice if you try to install them on the wrong hardware). If there is a BIOS update file available, grab it--along with any documentation it comes with, because often warnings and specific instructions are contained in the Read Me docs.

Those of you who assembled your PC yourself will need to look for BIOS updates from your motherboard manufacturer\'s Website. If you don\'t remember your motherboard\'s model number, you can look it up without opening up the case by downloading and running CPU-Z and clicking on the Mainboard tab.

Step 3: Read the included documentation.

Your PC\'s BIOS handles a lot of the nuts and bolts ISO Recorder for Windows XP or the version for Windows 7/Vista) to create a BIOS update CD.Other systems will have you copy a few files to your bootable disk, restart, and open up the BIOS during startup (typically by pressing a specified key for setup options), and change the boot order so your system looks for a bootable USB drive or CD before loading the OS from your hard drive.

Having major issues with .NET Framework. Result is I'm not able to load a number of add-ons and apps. Is there a way to clean it up???

The BEST thing to do is to check you installed Windows updates and see which .Net Framework(s) have been installed in the updates. You can do two things here; you can uninstall ALL of them and just download them FRESH from Microsoft.com; OR you caN Read the message about which one is corrupted and see if you can repair the damage or update that version so that it works correctly. Now chances are that you're going to have to uninstall that defective version and then download/install a FRESH version.

Cannot update apps, it messages to contact you for updates

Which apps cannot be updated? Who is "you?" I don't think you mean Fixya.
Many times software publishers will cease to support a version after a certain date, and automatic updating from within the application may no longer function after that end-of-support date. Some of the publishers have a fallback destination for update requests suggesting an alternative, possibly suggesting contacting the publisher or even a third party.
One alternative is to search the publishers support download files for archives of older versions. Find the most recent update package for your version and download it (check your installed software first; if its version matches the one on the support page, that is as up to date as you will get without going to a newer major version. Caution: check system requirements for the update and verify it will work with your system before downloading.
Some publishers will not have the files on their public server, but will e-mail an updater to you if you contact them for it. Be ready to provide them with your application version information, hardware information (model, installed memory and frees space available on the hard drive) and operating system version so you receive the best update. If the publisher followed the rules, you can get the app version info by going to ,<ApplicationName> menu and selecting <ApplicationName> from that menu. be sure to select and copy the entire version number string for pasting into your message to the publisher.

Here are a few troubleshooting things you can try!
- Make sure that you aren't using an old version of the application.. Check the app store and check to see if there's an update available! Many online applications require you to have the latest version to use them.
- It can also be a flaw in the application, so you might want to look up the application on the iTunes Store and read the recent reviews to see if anyone else is having the same problem as you.
- I suggest deleting the application on your iPad, and then reinstalling by syncing your iPad to your computer. If the application is already synced to your computer, deleting it and resyncing after you delete it should allow you to reinstall it and it may work then.
- Also, make sure that the internet is connected on your iPad! I'm assuming this is a web-based game so it may not work when not connected to the internet.
- Finally, sometimes applications like this do not work if it has not been updated for the version of iOS that you have. Check your version on your iPad by opening the settings app on the home screen, then click General > About > And scroll down and you will see the version number. Look up the application on the iTunes store and make sure that you have above the version that is shown.
Good luck! :)
