Question about Televison & Video
If the tv works OK with all functions try to shine a light at angles on its lcd display you may see its readouts, sounds like the backlight has gone out so time to call an engineer out, use a torch or rely on what you see is working.
If it uses a lamp (old fashioned) its blown............
If it uses an inverter then it most likely has failed and blown its tiny fuse so now safe, either way its an engineers type job one who is familiar with that model who may keep parts on hand.
