Soo I accidentally pressed the USB button on the element controller and I have no idea how to take it off again sooo...

The USB button is a dedicated shortcut key to select the USB source. To change to another input, press the Source button repeatedly until you have the desired source selected and then press OK. (On the Element ELEFW3916 TV, it's the lower side of the button above the power button on the side. On the remote, the source button is between the volume - and channel down buttons. That puts it below the mute.)

I hope this helps. Please post a comment with the model of your Element TV, if you don't see an Input or Source button on the TV or remote.

My TV (42" Full HD

Yes you can - but not with a USB cable. USB is only for data (file) transfer.

What you are attempting to do is use your TV as a PC monitor, therefore it needs to be connected to your TV using a PC monitor cable (15-pin D-SUB/VGA). You will also need a separate audio cable from your PC to your TV if you want to use the TV speakers for audio. If you are using a receiver or amplifier with external speakers, you can connect the audio out from the PC directly to the amplifier/receiver.

It is also possible to connect the PC to the TV with an HDMI cable if your PC has an HDMI out port. However, some TVs wont accept an HDMI signal from a PC and this method of connection can cause other issues, so I would recommend using the PC monitor cable method.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
