When I try to send a picture, delete mess: max 50 comes up

Settings - Wireless and network - Mobile network - Use packet data check box. When this was done, you could send picture MMS messages.
You could check your MMS APN settings, they can be found in Settings -> Wireless and network -> Mobile networks -> Access point names. There should be some reference to MMS settings and it should have your operator's MMS settings. Also, check out the settings found in Messaging -> Menu button -> Settings -> Multimedia message (MMS) settings -> Creation mode. Verify these and try again :)

I updated the software on my Blackbery Storm. When I did this all of my sent messages were deleted, and all of my sent or received MMS messages have been deleted. How can I recover my MMS message?

They can only be deleted if a backup was made before you updated. When you update, the messages are wiped. Check the computer that you updated with, it may have done a backup first, go into BlackBerry Desktop Manager and see if there is a backup you can restore.

Phone Sending MMS Messages as Default

The phone allocates a certain amount of storage for messages on a whole. Even though there may still show space available for text messages, you have hit an invisible "limit" and the phone is now defaulting to MMS messages because there is "room" there. Delete a fair amount of messages and you should be able to start sending regular text's again.
