Passcode is required to enable Touch ID on Ipad

This is plain and simple - you need the original passcode before you can add your fingerprint. If this was a used tablet - you can get the passcode from someone that has it - or you may be able to factory reset it using itunes and recovery mode.

How can I overcome hacking?

1. Use a PIN or fingerprint security ... Just go into the settings app on
your device, then the general tab and
"Touch ID & passcode lock" - from here
you will be able to turn on either a numeric
PIN or Touch ID fingerprint scanning. If you
do use a PIN steer clear of the two most
common - and therefore easily guessed -
combinations: 0000 and 1234.

2. use a longer passphrase...
If you want more security than a four-digit
PIN provides - after all, there's a one-
in-10,000 chance that someone will guess it
correctly first time - you can opt instead to
use a passphrase. To do this, go to your
settings app, then "Touch ID & Passcode"
and turn "Simple Passcode" off. This will
allow you to create a longer and more
complex passcode with upper and
lowercase letters, numbers and other
symbols.

3. Turn off notifications

4. Disable Siri
Just as with notifications, Siri can leak data
even when your phone is locked. An
attacker finding your phone unattended
can ask him/her all sorts of questions that
could reveal personal information. To put a
stop to this go to settings, then “Touch ID &
passcode” and set “allow access when
locked” on Siri to off.

Why need passcode for software update ipad2?and how can we fix it?

If its asking for an apple ID or iTunes account password then you need to sign in with that. If you forgot it you can recover it using the email account you signed up with. If you have a lock code on the tabket then it may be that one. You can sometimes sign out of itunes and sign in with a new one as well. This is a security feature to prevent apps from auto updating and wiping out settings or other people screw with it.

Cant get into my iphone how do i reset passcode without code or apple id.

  1. Restoring Original Settings, and Removing Old Passcode

    • 1 Connect your USB cable to your iPhone and your computerimage1.gif.

    • 2 Turn off your iPhone by pushing the powerimage1.gif button on the top of the phone and waiting for a slider to appear on the screen. Move the on-screen slider as directed when it appears on your iPhone.

    • 3Turn your iPhone on by simultaneously holding down the power button and the home button. The home button is the circular button in the middle of the lower portion of your iPhone face. A yellow sign indicating you are in restore mode will appear on the iPhone.

    • 4 Start the iTunes program on your computer.

    • 5 Click on the summary tab when iTunes starts.

    • 6 Click on the "Restore" button. This restores all the original settings on the iPhone.

  2. Setting New Passcode

    • 7 Select the "Settings" icon on your iPhone.

    • 8 Click on "General Settings" option and choose the option for the passcode lock.

    • 9 Enter a four-digit code that will be used in the future to unlock your iPhone. Others cannot use your iPhone without the code. Your iPhone will require you to enter the four-digit code a second time to confirm and set the code.

    • 10 Select how often you want your iPhone to require the passcode to be entered.

Forgot my passcode

Bad News... you may have to Restore from iTunes. Here is some info from the users manual:
Passcode Lock By default, iPhone doesn’t require you to enter a passcode to unlock it. Set a passcode: Choose General > Passcode Lock and enter a 4-digit passcode, then enter the passcode again to verify it. iPhone then requires you to enter the passcode to unlock it or to display the passcode lock settings.
Turn passcode lock off: Choose General > Passcode Lock, enter your passcode, and tap Turn Passcode Off, then enter your passcode again. Change the passcode: Choose General > Passcode Lock, enter your passcode, and tap Change Passcode. Enter your passcode again, then enter and reenter your new passcode.
If you forget your passcode, you must restore the iPhone software. See “Updating and Restoring iPhone Software” on page 204.
Set how long before your passcode is required: Choose General > Passcode Lock and enter your passcode. Tap Require Passcode, then select how long iPhone can be idle before you need to enter a passcode to unlock it.
