Question about Boating
I have a 70 horse Johnson> It was running good then it just quit. there is fire to the coils but not the plugs
If there is fire to coils, but not plugs, check each plug for damage or wear and replace anyway as a matter of caution. Also check each plug wire coming from the coils to the spark plug itself. These may be damaged or the boot or boot wire connection may need replacing, or the whole plug wire may need to be replaced. Check also you have a good, clean ground wire coming from the electrical harness/connections. Obviously, you need spark at the plugs for the motor to run or turn over.
