Door gasket or sealOver time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

SOURCE: Water collects under dryer. Clothes dry. floor wet. Vent open.

You said, Water collects under Clothes dry on floor. This sounds like a condenser dryer that needs the water retention bottle empdied or the hose to the bottle is leaking.
Check these two things

SOURCE: Need to side vent LG dryer

if you have an opening on the side then yes you can shorten the stiff tube that comes out the back but i recommend you get a stiff elbow to make the turn and add whatever is needed to come out the side then attach the flexible to the wall. that's the safe way of doing it. That air is pretty hot in the cabinet

I have a Maytag Quiet Plus ll Model # MDE9806AYW. We found water in the dryer vent. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

A plugged outlet vent. Start the dryer and go outside and check the vent. It should have a strong air flow. It the air flow is not strong check all the vent tubing and the outside vent.

How do you change the vent outlet direction?

there are knock out panels on both sides of the dryer. knock out the one you want to use with a hammer and flat head screw driver or chisel. Some dryers you have to remove the back (others you may have to remove the front) and disconnect the vent going out of the back of the machine and reinstall a new hose or pipe on the outlet where you removed the vent and run it through your new hole to the outside vent.

Why would a dryer be leaking water at the bottom?

look for a restricted vent . and a cold floor or room . this would cause condensation and would leak from inside / causing leakage on floor in or around the dryer .. hope this helps . pls leave feed back .. mm

I have front loading dryer. There is water in DRYER basin? Plz help It is wet in dryer hose. I started dryer to get rid of moisture. wont work

You likely have blockage in the vent line leaving the house. This allows the moisture removed from the clothing to accumulate in the vent instead of blowing outside. You can verify this by disconnecting the vent at the wall and running the dryer vented into the house or preferably out a window. If blockage is the problem this test should verify it.

Need height from floor to dryer vent outlet for installation of dryer vent

It depends on what floor you are on. If its on a second floor you can put it wherever, but if its on a first floor, its once you vent outside, it needs to be 12 inches from the ground to the top of the vent hood. Check with your local code officials for any codes specific to your municipality.

I have water developing in my duct. What's going on?

I would suggest you try this simple easyfact finding venture:
remove the vent fromt he dryer(take a bucket as the vent is going to have water in it) pour the water out of the vent, leave the vent off and try drying some loads,IF the unit works as it should( normal dry times) then you will need to have the vent cleaned to the outside. many birds like to place nests in them!
Good Luck!!

The water perhaps came in through the outside vent! check the vent cover outside that it is still on and in place! And not stuck open if it is a swinging door type!
If its off or open it may have been wind swept rain coming in the vent pipe !
If still no start!
Try unplugging the dryer for 10 minutes and then to plug it in and attempt to restart it!
Let me know if this helps!

If you need service here is ,

water out of any dryer now or old is problem. a definite venting issue. dryers doing what it should, pulling moisture from your clothes, that moisture should vent outside your home. however you have a SEVERELY clogged vent and the moisture is getting trapped and condensing on the cooler metal . replace your venting. at very least disassemble and clean. don't forget about exhaust hood where it leaves house

My kenmore electric dryer wont heat mondel 110.86880100

I know you cleaned the lint filter so I won't even mention it:)

Is it possible that your vent hose runs along the floor (perhaps behind the dryer, or maybe even under a raised floor beneath your dryer - as mine used to) before going up and out to the outside vent? If so it could be that water has seeped in through the vent opening from outside and become trapped in the hose and is acting like a drain trap and blocking moist air from escaping which is causing the clothes not to dry.

This is what happened to mine once anyway. A cracked vent flap was all it took for the water to build up over time. Unfortunately mine ran under the floor and I had to actually tear up my floor in order to remove the water without having it flow all over my house. Fixed the drying problem though (and a new vent flap insured that it didn't happen again).
