Instruction Manual Elna 7000 Computer

the 7000 was the last of computerised the models produced by Tavaro Switzerland, had some very nice features and big range of stitches. Circa 1987-88 I think.

I have looked but can't see a manual, but looks like push button stitch selection on front of machine, often it will be same as straight stitch, but need to take stitch width from 0 to 4

I have a elna 5000 . i inserted the wire without adaptor and saw a spart and immediately plug out the cable , now it is not working . Hoa can i fix it . Please help

Do you mean you've plugged in a 110V machine to 220 V without an adaptor? Or visa versa.

Doens't sound good, being a computerised machine that could have fried the circuit boards and/or engine.

I'd suggest you need to take it to a service technician to establish how damaged it is.

If you go to www.elna.com you may be able to find a local dealer in your country.

The presser foot lever on my Elna 945 is breaking/broken. I have ordered a replacement part and I'm wondering if I can do the replacement myself. Or should I take it to a pro?

here is a link to the service manual for the 925 http://www.arizonaexpressionz.com/elna_service/925_704%20suppl.%20service%20manual.pdf

I can't see one for the 945 but the above manual may give you some guidance as to what the replacment involves.

945 is a fairly new model so you may find that taking it to a pro and getting the timing and loopers checked at the same time is worthwhile. Also being computerised model, if you get something wrong and the computerised part is affected it could turn out more expensive to then take it to an Elna dealer.

I get my Bernette serger serviced every 2 years and it is now over 19 years old, and still performing well.

I have for gotten how to make the machine sew and im having trouble threading a bobbin for my moms machine elna 7000 i need a manual or a quick note to get started

YOu can down load a manual from here http://www.arizonaexpressionz.com/elna_instruction_manuals/Elna7000.pdf

Just remember to click the bobbin thread into the tension device correctly and hold the two threads behind the pressure foot when you start each seam - Elna top loading bobbins give great stitch quality but you just need to keep stray threads out or they'll jam up.

Also, you must use the Elna plastic bobbin that the manual specifies for this machine - the 5000, 7000 and 9000 were Elna Tavaro Switzerland's first foray into computerised machines and first released in 1986.

Also, please check the manual when you go to buy twin needles, there are two types now as computerised machines usually need the twin needles offset from the shaft position. They have red or black plastic block between the shaft and the twin needles - I think you need the red ones but just double check the manual to make sure. And you can't do all the wide stitches with a twin needle as it will strike the foot.

Hope this helps a little.
