Panasonic 42PZ77U 42 in Plasma TV just blinks

I bought this TV in Dec '07. A little over 18 months. Worked very well till two days back. Now all I see when I turn the TV on, all it does is blink.
I did not realize till I saw this forum that it is a common problem. Unfortunately I am out of warranty and did not buy extended warranty.
Please help me with a solution.

The 5 blinks on the LED means that the main logic D board is defective and will need to be replace to fix the TV.

Watching dvd, great pictue and all of a sudden black out

7 Blinks is the failure of the SC/SU/SD PCB's (1 2 or 3 depending on how lucky/unlucky) you are.

Panasonic have a great warranty usually. Give them a ring, it has failed.

The flashing LED is the fault code.

Panasonic 42 Inch takes 15 seconds to come on

Okay, This is not i huge issue plasma do take some time 15 secounds would be kinda noraml there. I would say leave it alone until you find another mahor issue as 15 sec for a plasma on total cool down is not a issue as of yet.

Pin 93 of the MPU IC9003 monitors the status of the SC, SU, SD board. During normal operation, the photo-coupler PC6480 outputs a low to pin 93. If the SC, SU, or SD board becomes defective, a high is provided to pin 93. As a result, the unit shuts down and the power LED blinks 7 times.
