Where exactly? Can you explain further?

  • Steve F Apr 28, 2017

I have mentioned everything I can think of in the previous posts, I'm sorry , but I cant help any further. Try calling a Saeco or a coffee machine repair company who would have the experience or knowledge of your particular model.

You have to lift a top drip on the machine and there is the thermal protection on the side of the boiler, one such elongated brown or blue cable should be. Most likely it's burned out and the machine does not work. But there is no such reset button.
If you have questions, please ask.

Testimonial: "Thanks, so reset button is a mith. Do you mean I change the brown and blue cables? Cables look ok, nothing looks burned, thermal protection which is inside a transparent sylicone tube is ok, tested with multimeter. I extracted the water pump also, water goes through. Not sure what to do."

I did not understand - does a machine is swiching on or not give any sign of life?
Or just does not want to go?

Have a close look around the outside of the cabinet for a small button or hole. Inside the hole, there may be a button that can be pressed to reset. Not sure about Saeco but I doubt if you have to take the cabinet off to get to a reset button.

Testimonial: "Thanks. What you mean a hole around the outside of the cabinet? I dont see anything there."

  • Steve F Apr 27, 2017

There may be a small hole on the back or side of the machine. It could have a plastic cap or rubber bung hiding it. You may need a torch to look in there to see if there is a cutout button. Sorry, its probably not much help but its all I can think of other than getting in touch with one of their Agents or the Manufacturer direct.

I have the via veneto model that has the rubber tube that draws the milk in. It doesn't seem to build enough pressure now to do it. I have been cleaning and descaling it on a regular basis. The expresso...

There is a pin on top of the cappuccinator the will twist to create suction. Turn it slowly when steaming until it starts to draw milk up to foam. Then leave it. If you don't have the pin, thats your problem.

The steamer on our Espresso machine is not working

Try using a paperclip or needle to clear out the holes on the end of the steam wand. That will usually work if when you turn on the wand it is hot to the touch and you can still get hot water from the coffee spout.

Via Veneto will not prime

Yes, unfortunately the Via Veneto is a difficult machine to prime, however, I have a simple way to prime the pump if you run into this problem. Simply remove the water tank, fill a clean turkey baster with water, open the steam valve fully then mate the baster tip with the water tank flow valve on the espresso machine. Wrap a towel or paper towel around the flow valve/baster tip then inject the water (agressively, but not forcefully). It's works for me every time.

Via veneto won't make coffee

I removed the top filter where the water comes out and cleaned it good with a pin for all the holes, then I did the same for the coffee filter. I found alot of the holes plugged which would avoid the from alowing the coffee to come out.

Now it works like new.

I think your machine is overheated, try to replace the thermostat on the boiler.

Soggy Pucks & Portafilter retains water Saeco Via Veneto

It sounds like you are short on water due to a blockage somewhere...either in the flowmeter or the group head. You might also have a faulty pump, and you're not getting enough pressure during the shot. If you're not getting crema, then it's most likely pressure related...shots will also have a burnt smell and very bitter taste.

Defect Saeco Odea Giro. Red exclamation flashing fast. Mashine is function only in service mode. A defect in Saeco Odea Giro. TYP 0310R ser. number. 9007SA40523803 Please help for repairing the machine. I bought the automatic coffee machine second hand. After unpacking, I discovered that someone was intruding into it cracked plastics and handles. By common check, I discovered the 1st fault - a broken piston catalog number 11003468. This is quite a common fault with these machines. 2nd defect leakage of the valve. Even one O ring was missing. I replaced all O-rings with new ones. Then I went over to check the individual sensors: Level sensor in the tank - OK Sensor closed coffee bean hopper - OK Sensor of closed door on the brewing unit side. - OK Sensor on the waste container - okay When I wanted to try switching on a microswitch that detects the presence of the brewing unit in the hole, I did not find contact. So I removed the wall behind the brewing unit and found that there were two microswitches near the toothed wheel. I checked their functionality. Both well. I assumed that one of them was not at his destination. The one with the green connector I supposed to indicate that the brewing unit is in place. I moved him to the top. I checked the state of the electric motor and lubricated the gear. I returned the wall back. Next, I ran the diagnostic mode and checked other components: a Boiler - Heats up b The pump - presses correctly and the green diode flashes during its operation and shows the activity of the flowmeter c solenoid valve - switches correctly d the grinder grinds and during its operation the green diode flashes and reveals the activity of the speed sensor in the mill e the brewing unit is moved to the top position and to the basic position without any problems Other things I've done: The whole coffee maker is cleaned, deep decontamination is performed using the diagnostic mode. Check the flow meter clean without oxidation. Check the tightness of all hoses. Both boiler thermostats are checked. Removed and thoroughly cleaned the mill. Despite this, the machine behaves as follows: Turn on the machine and fne the mill shaft. The red exclamation mark flashes very quickly. The green light of the boiler heating is not lit or flashing. However, the boiler is heating up properly. When I eject the tank water flow, the red exclamator lights up permanently. After the tank returns, the red exclamation mark will flash rapidly again and the green indicator the boiler is heated will light up properly. When switched on, the Indycatter does not light the cup. Only a drop of water drops and coffee beans lit up. Can not prepare coffee, can not refuel hot water. All this can only be done in diagnostic mode. In the diagnostic mode, I also de-aerated the machine. Both the nozzle and the coffee outlet through the brewing unit. Self-cleaning will not start. I do not know anymore, maybe there is a bug in the electronic panel. Will anyone advise me? Thank you.
