You may get help for that on the Janome web site, the bigger manufacturers often have a support page or download instructions

SOURCE: Bobbin problems

Are you using a size "A" (Class 15) bobbin? If you are using pre-wounds and they are not this size... they will jump around alot. The size of an "L" is very similar, but they are not as tall (height off the table when laying flat on the round side... like when sitting in the bobbin case.) There are tricks to using the thinner bobbins... See if you have a "taller" size "A"/Class 15 and if that corrects the trouble. tjsews2008@gmail.com

SOURCE: bobbin case problems

Oh wow. That's definitely not good. Well you'll need to replace the bobbin case, and needle plate. Even the slightest burr can cause havoc. you could try smoothing down burrs with some fine sand paper but you'll need to replace the case eventually if you can't get this problem identified and fixed.

Next look for a build up or stray threads under and around the needle plate/bobbin area. Make absolutely certain you have the right needles for your machine.

SOURCE: My Janome 3160 QDC will not work lcd screen comes on but buttons won't work and machine will not sew

Try unplugging the cord from the wall (and from the machine if possible) let it set for 10-30 minutes and then try it again. This allows the circuits inside to lose all of their electricity and reset.

My Janome harmony sewing machine is totally jammed

1. Try to take out the needle. If this doesn't work take out the bobbin carefully so you don't get stuck by the needle. Also remove the bobbin case. (thing that the bobbin sets in)
2. Once you have the two out try to turn the hand wheel. It should turn.
3. Replace the needle. Clean the bobbin area thoroughly. Oil the race where the bobbin case rides. One drop is all it needs.
4. With the needle inserted and no bobbin inserted turn the hand wheel.
5. If it turns ok then insert the bobbin case and bobbin.
6. Does it turn? If it is a problem turning then you will need to get it timed from a maintenance person.

Don't know the make/model of your machine...

The bobbin case has a latch that you need to hold open until it is in position. When you let go of the latch, it should be secure.

Hello dear

have you tried changing the needle?
have you tried adjusting the top thread tension?
it might be the needle and the thread are not compatable,, the needle may be to light for the thread.
if the suggestions don't help, sew on the sewing machine till it makes the loop and then stop the machine and take it to the repair man and let him see the loop and then ask him why it's making the loop.
