What would cause a 1200A CB Main at exterior switch-gear when running only a chill water pump? The chill water pump circuit breaker is on a 1000A CB panel main. The 1200A CB would trip but not the 1000A...

Well 1000 amp stuff is out of my league, but I would guess it is possible the main circuit board might have sensing ability to detect a wiring problem. Perhaps the 3 phase polarity is wrong, the 4th ground pole is not making good contact, or something. With that much amperage, it could be the main needs more grounding rods spread further apart, and make sure you run an explicit ground wire between pump and main. Don't rely on ground rod at pump. Too many people get electrocuted that way.

Cb has power but no squelch, can't recieve or transmit

Begin with
  • Volume knob 12 o'clock position
  • Squelch knob full counter clockwise
  • RF gain knob full clockwise
  • Pa/CB switch to CB
  • Mic plugged in
  • Check coax and antenna connections.
  • Make sure your antenna gommet/insulator is installed correctly or it will directed gound. Treat antenna shaft as it is the positive portion of circuit.
If you have another CB check the antenna system with that rig. To verify it is a radio issue. Then dig deeper Microphone, PLL chip, Audio chip etc.

Atv starts but runs wide open only even though the throttle cable looks like it works fine

Your bike will only run at full throttle if your cable or main jet needle are stuck in the full throttle position .Take your throttle cable off and check that its freely working inside the outer caseing .

Non grnd steel antena

I assume your coax is not hooked up properly or you have some kink of a short in your antenna connection ( thats if your cb is working properly ) Radio Shacks Information that suggested that the 102" whip is the perfect antenna is their opion only as I prefer to recommend a full wave antenna system to my customers, but I do assure you, the 102" whip does work well if it's properly installed. I have found the main problem in the 102" whip installation is when the center hole is cut to install the antenna, it's not cut big enough, which grounds the antenna. It's not suppose to be grounded in any fashion to the automible chassis. The ground of this antenna comes from the 3 screws mounted around the outside of the antenna mount. Check that for sure. If you can't correct the problem. write me back at this web sight of direct at wyoed1@aol.com. Good Luck

1. A fan irregularity signal, excessive current draw due to binding. Examine M4 for obstructions which may bind the fan. Check the M4 fan lock signal (main CB, CN26-4) in the 47 mode, input code 42. The voltage should be between 0.1 to 0.2V DC. If 5V DC is present, either the fan is binding or the fan is defective. Replace M4 (p/n 25HA80512).
Note: If the fan lock signal is normal, install the version 17.0 EPROM (p/n 101517-17.0) to prevent false F54 errors as outlined in 1015/1212 Technical Bulletin #15.

2. IC7 on the main CB has shorted due to a failed total counter. IC7 shares the 24V DC control signal line with the exposure lamp, separation solenoid (SD1), registration solenoid (SD2), total counter, key counter, and cooling fan (M4). All loads except the total counter operate in diagnostics.
Replace the total counter (p/n 466088201) and the main CB (p/n 25HE-7312).

3. A poor connection between the cooling fan (M4) and the main CB. Reseat CN73 at M4 (cooling fan) and CN26 on the main CB.
