How many tsunamis are there in a year in japan

Hi Emma:
Not really a car/truck question however, there are no specific number of tsunamis as they are caused by earthquakes that are located so that they create a massive displacement of water.

How is a tsunamis formed

tsunamis are formed due to the shift of tectonic plates usually due to earth quake. due to this a large volume of water is shifted creating a wave. once this wave approach the shored they speed up and create collosal damage.

When do tsunamis happen

Tsunamis happen when there is an underwater earthquake, causing the ocean floor to move violently up or down. When the ocean floor moves like that, the water above it has to go somewhere so it spreads out in a very fast wave. The wave is a tsunamis.

While start my dell inspiron says SMART failure onHDD2 back up immediatly and press f1

Hi - S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a technology designed to monitor the health of Hard Drives. It is a prediction that your drive may fail soon. S.M.A.R.T. has a mixed history of successful predictions but if you have any data you need to save I would take this warning seriously and back up your data, to HD0? or DVDs or an external drive.

You didn't say which Inspiron model you own so secondly I would call up Dell and have a tech walk you through the process of finding out which brand of HD is in your laptop and then going to that manufacturers website and downloading hard drive testing software for that brand, Seagate, Western Digital, Fujitsu, etc. or the tech will direct you to a Dell testing software download.

It's only through actually testing the HD with proper software that you will find out if your HD is really in jeopardy. DO NOT run HD tests on you drive if you have important data and you have not backed it up! If the software says your drive is OK you can probably turn off future false positive S.M.A.R.T warnings with a setting in the system BIOS.

Good Luck and Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Hard Disk Problem

That failure is predicted by the SMART reporting system. Its a status chip on the drive that reports to apps that can read the smart data from the hard drive. Its not always accurate but it usually is.

Time backup your data on that drive ASAP and then buy a new drive.

S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a diagnostic method originally developed by IBM that at that time referred to as "Predictive Failure Analysis". This technology was developed for IBM mainframe drives to give advanced warning of drive failures. Based on this diagnostic, Compaq announced IntelliSafeTM, which was submitted to the ATA/IDE standards committees and the resulting standard was named S.M.A.R.T.
S.M.A.R.T. analyzes many of the mechanical attributes; over time, some failures can be predicted by detecting if the hard disk drive is moving out of tolerance. While the S.M.A.R.T. technology can detect upcoming issues, not all hard drive failures are predictable.

All this means on most modern drives is the hard drive is coming close to the maximum tolerances

I usually switch off in the bios smart monitoring.

This system is trying to predict a possible failure, which may or may not occur..
